Drying in a cedar chest

like the title says... I was thinking of drying in a cedar chest. Think of a ice chest but cedar only. Anyone run a similar drying setup?

After I hang dry the plants for three to four weeks I use totes for the final cure to get the buds an equal moisture level taking another two to three weeks.
If you don't hang dry you plants first mold will be an issue unless you have an active venting system set up.

Like are you hanging them in the cedar chest? Are you laying them on top of each other in the cedar chest? Do you have venting in the cedar chest?

Pretty vague fucking post if you want answers try explaining a little better what you are working with.

My expectation would be it would wick out moisture too fast
I haven't tried it though
If it's Red Cedar I would be concerned about it imparting a smell to the weed.
Thanks guys for the input. I kinda feel the same about the smell. The box I have is red cedar. Was curious what others have used is all. Found an old chest I was thinking of making use of but I’ll just stick with my tent for now.

I dry in cedar. Thats where I put the plastic bags 2 days after taking off the line.

If you ain't curing in plastic microclimates, or maybe a sheep's bladder or whale placenta, you don't understand pot and need to A) grow better pot that answers these questions for you or B) stop worrying about it because you obviously don't care and are only worried about this European-coded genetic compulsion to have followed someone's orders or guidelines, in that case, shove your weed up your butt it's the only way to dry.

I’ll pass on the last recommendation lol. I was just curious if anyone was using cedar. Have you noticed any residual smell from the cedar leeching to the Cannabis?
