Switching from veg nutes to flower nutes

I am going to be switching my girls over to flowering this weekend. I am wondering if I switch my nutrients immediately too or do I run the veg nutes for a bit or what?

Question.
Why would you wait for stretch to stop? I'm always wanting to learn so I thought I'd ask.
I try to stay consistent in my room....and the different strains times for stretch are not.
I always gave them flower nutes day one of flower...maybe even a couple days prior so they would start with a little extra PK and less N. so this leads me to ask why would we sit out the stretch in flower, when that p and k can start doing its job weeks before?....while dropping the extra n?
Thanks for any info you can give.

The plant is still feeding more N for the stretch. Cut off the N too soon it may have issues later.

I mean you can give it flower nutes on day 1 flip but every strain is different and trying to avoid later posts about my plant is turning yellow fast from the bottom up and I can't stop it in mid flower.

K too much is not your friend.

If you use a balanced feed or one part then just go with it. I have run the same strains about the last 5 years and this what they like. You may have different requirements.

I'm babbling. ;-)

Right on. Thanks for the knowledge and not getting offended by the question.. Bravo.

I run an all in one mix.maxi bloom...from seed to bud.
It has the most ingredients for the money on the market when I started my research.
I use a ton less then recommend (1gram per gallon). So the npk doesn't burn it...but I fear the micros and cal mag suffer.suffer.
So I add 1/2 tsp of micro with every bit of water/ food input.
Along with a tsp of cal mag every gallon.
I used 1/2 tsp for a long time but found that 1/3 of the girls wanted more calmag. So I bumped it to 1 full tsp.
1/2 tsp silica for stress and strength.
1/8 of a tsp growers recharge.
That's evrything.

Your right about to much p and k. Because I run the bloom I don't boost. I can after stretch, but if I try to do the transition boost they will yellow up real bad in center of new growth.

In my research I found data on plants and their uptake during flower. One of the major take always was that they will assimilate nitrogen over p.
If you have to much nitrogen the plant will eat that and not the P.
So I dropped it at flower start.
Now I don't even use grow.

A little more info.
The npk line has the ingredients in separate forms.
That said,I source from the most, for the least....regardless of brand. ( I do care about where they are derived from though)
With the maxi bloom being a flower food, i thought I would out smart the system and just add nitrogen in flower to my bloom. ( the difference between the bloom and veg was just the npk values. Micros were negligible, and filled out by my extra 1/2 tsp micro.)
Even added the separate PAnd K but dropped those due to the yellowing and there being enough in the bloom.
So now I'm left wit my formula, and it works on everything I throw at it.
I run a cut of dark plasma I've had for a couple years now. I could see the differences on her through the process. It's good to run something for a long time to get a feel for the entire grow.
Anyway, sounds like your on it my friend. I love how there's a million ways to get it done....we can learn so much from each other. Thank you so much for the info.
