Hey hey!
Sorry for the late response! was gone for the weekend and didn't have internet. Yeah I would use the bloom booster at this stage. feeding with a lot of nitrogen later in flower can encourage vegetative growth, especially if its NH4! when I am 5 weeks into any cannabis crop I use a 4-31-37, or similar product (to give you an idea of how little N I use at that stage) and I start toning down the calcium and magnesium i have in there. I found that K can and will stress the plant at higher levels, but thats why I ramp up to the highest levels towards the end, because at that point I dont care what the plant looks like I just need to see those buds swelling.
How much mpk do you recommend and what weeks? I always have trouble walking that line between too much that stresses them to throw late nanners so havent been using it
so at week 5 I start at around 250 ppm K with about 100 ppm P and then increase in the last big bulk week (depends on if its a 8,9 or 10 week crop) to almost 400 ppm K! I know thats crazy, and some strains cant handle it, but I have pulled down..... well I'm not gonna boast, it works for me thats all I can say. the plant must be healthy and the pH has to be right, if you push a sickly plant like that.... you will hermie for sure.
old corn farmer once told me, and this applies to cannabis too, the plant wants 2/3rds of its P the first 1/3rd of its life, in this case the flowering stage is what we will consider the plants life. So I make sure I get good bud set and stacking early on by pushing P then make sure those swell and get sticky and sweet by pushing K later on. thats a really simplified version of what I do but the concept works across a lot of strains I have tried so far.
