20190914_225752.jpg 20190914_214211.jpg Okay y'all,

So I've been at this a long time and some of you will remember me from previous posts. Well here I am 6 years later with a totally new question !

What has caused this crown nug to be burnt ?!

If you look closely or not even, you can see the buds below are fine. Even the crown nug it's attached to. The whole plant is fine but this one crown is burnt to a crisp and has been for 2 weeks.

I want to cut it off but we are at week 8 of flower and I don't want to injure the rest of the plant. I personally don't care about the nug I just want to know WHY.?.

All comments and suggestions are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Looks like you've found your maximum height. I'd trace that height around the walls of the grow space, if it was me.

Would a root breaking or part of one dying cause this ?
Something tells me its got something to do with roots...don't know why...lol
That is if it is not a light/heat issue.
Good luck on your grow and please let us know if/when you find out. :P

Perhaps you could sacrifice the tip of the next closest-in-height bud and see if that one starts to get sad. It might help to confirm/deny if height is the issue for you.

Its so very odd how its only half burnt and where it stops the leaves right below are fine...almost like the bud was partially broken from the stem.
If it was heat I would think it would have some damage further down and not just stop so suddenly like that.
Can you maybe get a close up of the middle of the good and bad...like a loop or magnifying glass and take a look at the stem to see if there is damage? I know pictures will be very hard, but just to see for yourself.
I love these these kinds of mysteries...lol

Bud rot covered in mold ...yuck
You must have air movement issues
Perhaps a bit... However I know what caused it. My temperatures are 25C & 62% humidity. The reason for this I'm unsure. Never have I had issues with high humidity it's typically the opposite in my room. So because of these awful conditions I'm starting to see problems. I just don't have the money to buy a $100+ dehumidifier or the space. I'm going to have to do something tho quick because I'm in week 8 of flower and I don't want to FK this up or even the drying for that matter. I need quick solutions on how to bring down the humidity.

Never have known, guess it's a Virus. Just lucky it was a top cola because if it had started low it would have killed half the bud on the plant.
