Sounds like wasted time to me. Any downtime in the flower area adds up, a week here, a week there, all the sudden that's one less harvest per year.
My new plants go into my flower area within a few hours of the old ones coming out.
please explain. I'm kinda lost. I'm wondering how the room gets fresh air from a sealed room? And when does it equal out?vent outside the house, lung room gets fresh out side air.good seal on the lung room.all fans get turned off before you enter so the negative pressure balances out.
If I vent outside the house, I have to pull into same chamber I'm creating a vacuum in.
Fresh air is super important by all means. But where I live, and others places I have lived. Most summers are hotter than my grow room.
So I learned to pull air from inside, but a fresh source if possible.
In fact I live in an area that is designated for farming and agricultural.
So in my case I pull air from our house system, and vent it back outside. Not to worried about the smell anymore, but I run a carbon filter anyway.
When it's 104degrees outside, you ain't pulling in outside air.
Live in an area with high rates of powdery mildew? Love to balance your humidity in your grow room, based on the weather outside....of your basement. Not I.
Another note. You may not get away with inside air like I do beacause I run LED's.
They stay cooler than HID so this is another thing to consider.
This is where situation dictates your plan. When I lived in Cali I could get away with pulling air in and pushing it out. I made a window seal box that I could close the window on, and seal the room still in the winters but still have outside source.
Here in Colorado I can't do that....not even close. So I run it the way I told you. Semi sealed. Which is even weirder.
But I have never had ANY type of infestation here, and only fungus gnats in CA....till I switched to promix. After that not a thing....and FYI ROOTs organic=gnat farm.
So I'm not saying what I do is the best way at all. It happens to work for me.
Chose what works for your situation.
