Urgh...! Methinks some hard work, a complete clear-out of the dead chillies that didn't survive winter & a hefty dose of glysophate is in order......

Thats an awesome little spot. I'm jealouse.
No need to be jealous, it's just a matter of planning.

We've got about 3.5 acres (most of it is bush) on top of a mountain outside Melbourne.

There's an area of about 3/4 acre that I've allocated to eventually become my veggie & hops patch, but it needs to be cleared of the logs before I can start. Current estimate is about 50 tonnes.

Just a thought. Advertize cut your own firewood at $?? a meter. Get rid of 20 tones pretty fast. Rest left is not such a daunting clean up and stack.
Or pay someone to do it..lol

Lighter and some diesel should also get rid of the problem pretty well.

'Already thought of that & decided against it. I don't want to sell the available wood, when we can use it ourselves for may years to come.

The way I'm thinking, I just get a 40ft container & fill it with firewood. There's other reasons for getting a 40ft container, but that's another story.....

I've got 4 chainsaws & a 30T log splitter. I find it quite cathartic during spring/autumn (summer is just too fucking hot!) to get out there & break all the stuff down.

I've already worked my way through a lot of the stuff in the photo above, but now I have a massive pile of detritus to burn before fire restrictions start. I'm aiming for this coming long-weekend.

Apparently, the P/H is something to do with 36 grown men being paid stupid amounts of money to fight over a rugby ball on a cricket pitch in the name of "sport"????
