Cloning a popcorn bud?

So I harvested my plant a week ago- this was my second grow and only time making it to flowering and as it turned out I harvested a couple weeks too early. I wasn’t sure if I was harvesting at the right time so I took cuttings of 4 of the lower branches w very small popcorn buds growing. I kept them in a vase of water for 6 days and planted them in soil. Before I transferred them they looked dead for the most part with crinkled up yellow leaves and browning of the stem- I also had been keeping them in the dark until then. But since I planted them in soil and kept them next to a window with lots of sunlight they are starting to look healthier with one of the cuttings flower getting bigger and more purple. Is it possible for the cuttings to clone and continue growing buds if kept with the same flowering light cycle?

I put mine under 24/7 light for a few days to a week to switch them back to veg.
Grower have put a broken branch in a cup of water beside the main plant to keep it growing...as long as light stays the same it should keep going, but maybe a little slower and smaller.
I have done a few popcorn bud re-veg clones...they take a few months to start showing much, but most end up being very healthy plants/mothers.

This works? Isn't the clone from a flowering plant a lot weaker (and more issues) than one thats cloned during veg? I thought i read that somewhere, makes sense not to clone a flowering plant, but if you ever get that crazy pheno its worth a try eh..

I had a spider mite battle and didn't want to loose everything so I chopped a few buds off each of my plants that were in flower and they have just rooted in the past few days.
Also did a small bud from a stem of a harvested plant a few years ago and 2 Skunk #1's I just did about a month ago...just starting to grow out now.

Taking clones during flower can cause stress to the plant so it may not grow to its full potential, but when its a last resort I think its worth a try...and yes I had/have a Karibbean Mango thats kinda hard to get around here so was worth it...lol

Taking flowering clones is what monster cropping is. Not all strains do good and others can increase yields by 200%.

I threw some flowering clones in a glass of water with a bubbler for a few weeks. After I seen roots I planted it in soil, and left a dome on them for a week under 24 hours of light.
After about 10 days to 2 weeks I seen new growth

I also have a reg clone I forced flower after a few weeks of growth
And the harvested mother plant that I am revegging at the moment to see which method produces more. All will be thrown outdoors in my 400 gallon boxes next may.20190922_083910.jpg

I monster cropped a bag seed for practice. It never got tall but has a crap load of branches. If I can remember I'll post a picture. Its only a foot and a half tall a 3 weeks in floor. Wasn't going to post it because I didn't want anyone laughing at me. For the record i will never be high enough to try it again
