I’ve got a plant that seems to be near harvest. Another member stated that my low humidity may have caused the trichomes to ripen before the plant is really finished. I’ll attach pictures of the trichomes and the plant.
Thank you but all the bigger leaves have completely yellowed. The humidity ranges from the 15% on the low end to no higher than 30%. I live in the desert plus my exhaust fan sucks all the humidity right of my tentWhat is low humidity to them? Should be 40 to 50% during flower, even lower in last 2 weeks if you can get it. They look about 1 to 2 weeks away from the pics. They look really good.
Thank you. So I can disregard the trichs on the sugar leaves?Look at the trics on the calyx and check on different areas of the colas. I will wait until all have turned milky and flush for 10-14 days. I shoot for approx 15-25% amber.
What happens if I’m two weeks late harvesting? I already harvested my very first grow too early and the bud looked and smelled good but packed no punch really. I’m afraid that if I wait too late it will be super weak as well. Thoughts?Look at the buds. They should be all milky with some amber. Like 85% milky to 90% milky. I never take anything with clear.

Will waiting too long (like 3 weeks) be enough to ruin the crop? The breeder suggested 80-85 days seed to harvest. I'm in Colorado and now that I exhaust to outside I don't even need to run my dehumidifier anymore. 15% Rh right now in my flower closet. And don't check the leaves, check the trichs on the buds. They look like they need a couple more weeks or so at least to me, but I've never grown an auto. They should fatten up a bit. And they will be less potent if you harvest too soon. The high also won't last as long. Don't trust breeders times. It will also be a heavier, longer lasting high if you wait, but some like it really light. I would wait if it was me though.Thank you but all the bigger leaves have completely yellowed. The humidity ranges from the 15% on the low end to no higher than 30%. Man! You literally just described my first grow (this is my second). I was so excited that I actually grew bud and I went by the trichomes on the leaves. They were all cloudy with 20% amber or maybe less. I harvested, dried and cured. It smelled and looked amazing. Sadly, however; I knew after the first bong hit something was amiss. I had to smoke twice as much or more to feel a strong high. The would also fade very quickly leaving me extremely tired with a headache. It almost felt like a super strong Sativa rush followed by an alcohol hangover. The good people on here, such as yourself, concluded via trich photos that I harvested early. I don’t want to make that mistake again. Sorry for the ramble but your description of early harvested buds was shocking. You’re like a cannabis physician lol. I will let it go longer and watch the trichomes. If you all don’t mind, I will continue to post trichome photos as I see them maturing. My leaves are also still dying.I'm in Colorado and now that I exhaust to outside I don't even need to run my dehumidifier anymore. 15% Rh right now in my flower closet. Ya keep posting updates. And this great community will try to help the best they can. @Thundercat helped me a lot my first harvest. You should thank him actually. I'm no expert by any means, but am learning.Man! You literally just described my first grow (this is my second). I was so excited that I actually grew bud and I went by the trichomes on the leaves. Thank you but I’m going to wait longer. I’m curious what it will look like in another week. You are correct. I definitely want to chop it but I also don’t want to repeat mistakes. I already harvested early and didn’t like the high. If I mess up this time, it’s good to be by going too long. I’m hoping my timing is spot on but erring on the later harvest date.Mate i just Know. You are ready to harvest, chop. go for it!
Well done, looks good![]()
its done mate. one extreme to the other. but all the best good grow well done.Thank you but I’m going to wait longer. I’m curious what it will look like in another week. You are correct. Oh, you’re serious? I thought you were messing with me for being impatient. Not challenging you or anything but why is everyone else recommending 2 weeks? What are you seeing that tells you they’re ready? I see it in the trichomes (some are clear though?).its done mate. one extreme to the other. but all the best good grow well done.
yeah its more sedating , more a couch lock, longer you leave it. to a point.Thank you but I’m going to wait longer. I’m curious what it will look like in another week. You are correct. How many grows did it take you to become confident in these things? Do you think I should be learning on photos vs autos? Thanks again man.yeah its more sedating , more a couch lock, longer you leave it. to a point.
not much harm in leaving it another week, up to you
