6 inch inline fan and a good carbon filter is what most use. It can just sit in the room scrubbing the air clean. Maybe stand it next to the ac. I once had a grow where duct feel off from blowing outside and roasted the whole 3 light dwc grow. they put off alot of heat off. I guess next time il cut hole in the wall for a small window unit with dry mode.

how will you put the inline carbon filter to the ac? the carbon filter alone will help with smell but i was suggesting the two vent portable because it dont work the same as the one vent!

The dual-hose design utilizes two separate exhaust hoses, one of which will function as air exhaust hose and one that will draw air in from the outside. The air that is taken in from the room is cooled inside the unit and then expelled back into the room.

The single hose air conditioner pulls warm air from the room, sends it past coils cooled by refrigerant, and then sends heated air and moisture through the hose and out of the house.

the single pulls the air in and also puts out the smell... the dual hose dont!

A carbon filter with inline fan as a scrubber inside will go a long way to solving your problem.
There is a thread that details how to fix those dual hose portable ACs so they don’t exhaust inside air by using sealant to isolate the cold side from the hot. with a fair bit of work you could probably do the same with the window unit. Okay a lot of work. Mostly important for sealed room CO2 growers. It’s something you’d want to plan out and implement when you’re not in the thick of things. IMO The scrubber is your best bet at this point.

I was told the 2 vent acs pull outside air in. Not hot smelly air from room. I’m sure it pulls some in.

Silly question. What’s a Scrubber and if anyone can find link on dual hose conversion if I need that I’ll take it.
