I had been keeping my water for her food in the refrigerator and taking readings. Bad idea.

I realized today that the cold temperature bumps my ppm meter up at least 100 PPMs for the plain water alone and I don’t know what it dose to the nute levels cold. So not doing that anymore.

Thankfully she looks nice and green and healthy.

Been doing a lot of reading through my old journals trying to jog my memory on how I did things in the past and seems I have forgotten quite a bit.

Due to the long main trunk I felt it best have To top her.
I don’t want that trunk to get lopsided if one main cola was forcefully pulling it over.

reading SCOTTYBALLS PE journal I saw he had to top his because his trunk was buckling.

Growing pains.....

I enjoy topping and seeing the regrowth. I totally understand your liking to do that. I fucked up my plant with the FIM job. Her leaves are deformed. I took the scrog screen out of the tent because her main branch is too weak and skinnier then normal. I contribute this to her lanky long stretch as a seedling. I soppose my light was too high and dimmed too much. So I will have to remember this next time and have it lower.

now I have to think if I want to do that Uncle Ben’s top job because She is at the 5 th node. Major top off job.

I done it once just stuffing about an got like 26 oscars under my 315 cmh an 600hps.
So i wanna tdy an do it again not sure it will happen as that tent seems as if the plants are sick.

Lol! You think it will work for Tornados? Cuz that’s the kind of game they play around here.
At least 2 broken windows a year.
That’s what happens when you live on the 18th hole. The golfers look so pathetic out there stroking their stroke.

Dr.Amber,
Sweet grow.
Thanks for sharing it with us.
I hope it turns out well for you.
I was looking forward to seeing the kick ass scrog screen in action, but I'm sure enough LST will get you there too.
Cheers,
WillieP

Welcome my friend!
thank you so much for the kind words! It’s a pleasure to have you hear! And I appreciate the positive vibes!
What makes you think I am not going to be using my scrog screen ? Lmao
Just because I did a top job? I have never heard anything so perplexing!lol
I always top my plants before I put down a scrog screen. Your funny.

Yes the screen is down very far and the main branch is not strong enough to take the pulling yesterday and it tilted to the side so I backed off the scrog screen and straightened up the branch.

My bad. I misunderstood. I thought that when you talked about the stem not looking as you would like, you chose to move away from the scrog screen.
I went back and re-read and now I'm back on board.
All steam ahead...looking forward to seeing that screen full of buds!
Cheers,
WillieP

Day 28
Rez changed today.:D
640 PPMs out 640 PPMs in
Cleaned out the bottom bucket, scrubbed dirt and grime off the sides and cleaned out some nasty algae that was growing in the water line tube. I am sooo much happier since topping.
She is now centered and balanced.

I find using this funnel to feed the water through keeps the pebbles at bay more and doesn’t agitate them to break and spill debris into the bottom reservoir as much as pouring directly from a gallon jug. Another benefit of the funnel is using it when the scrog screen is down.

have a beautiful fall weekend!!

Try pulling your light up or dimming if possible. LEDs are super intense. That is why the plant responds by growing bigger leaves to shade itself. Scottyballs uses a 400 watt CMH! @BobBitchen also uses much lower light intensities at this stage to get more stretch and bigger colas. It blew my mind when he grew my short squat LA Confidential and he got big long colas. I need to partner up with him and start a licensed grow company!

Thanks Herk, really appreciate it.
i have 2 leaves with some burn. One on top and one very bottom of Dakota. I am convinced it’s from nute splash . Ouch!
What a beautiful fall day!
went for a hike, no snakes!!
It’s was amazing, very enchanting and the
energy levels were off the charts!

Lunch spot where we found a sculpture and a large grey pelican like bird grazing area. Spooked it away.

On the way back we crossed paths with an old abandoned car. I have never stumbled upon anything like this before out in the wilderness. Spooky!!
Very trippy!

Walking about a mile past the car suddenly my I phone in my pocket starts playing my favorite TOOL song.
My hands were no where near my pocket. Totally wicked !
I think Indian Spirits were with me.

Very exciting! That is one sexy lady you have. Congratulations on an amazing grow. You absolutely nailed it!!

I put the scrog screen down again.
It is at 23 inches from the bottom of the waterfarm.
I will be adjusting the screen as needed from here on in.

I love this image. Last night without screen. Love the way the top leaves make a squre

A good topping gets me 2 top main branches. I should have done this a couple weeks ago but screwed up doing a FIM job.
