He's pissed cause he realized that he could have put a few more dollars together and bought a REAL qb from HLG!!! Trust me I know first hand how he felt... I bought a all white light blurpie on a whim and i used it for two weeks before I realized that it was no better than the cfls I was using... It ran hotter even with two built-in fans... Bought a qb 288,100,and the 260w v2 rspec package... Bottom line: IF you want to get the best results from your grow,go for the things that you need to get you there... Ive never really seen or heard anyone here in these threads say that they are using or have used one of these new MARS HYDRO lights... Maybe one and that was on afn... Secondary light would be a better use for them in my opinion... But I've only been growing for a year and a half so what do I know??? Oh, i know NOT TO BUY A LIGHT FROM MARS HYDRO!!!

He said the Mars Hydro light produced fluffy buds and the plant was very leafy, he ended up with popcorn sized, leafy buds. The only time you will hear good stuff about Mars is from people who either do not know any better, or people they have paid to say their lights are good, the bottom line is they are crap and Mars has been on the Bs tip since day one.

Years ago they used to claim their 300w lights (which weren't really 300w) were equal to a 1000w light many an unsuspecting customer bought into their false claims and ended up extremely peed off. Mars has made all sorts of stupid claims over the years and they are one of the companies that actually damaged the reputation of LEDs, fortunately, companies like Timber, HLG, Rapid came along and showed people that you can grow decent bud with quality LEDs.

The moral of the story, give Mars a wide berth as a leopard never really changes its spots!!!

I bought a 4 pack of quantum boards January of this year and I’ve been loving them. I’ve bought 2 more packs since then. I was thinking about just building a led quantum board strip light just for fun out of some bridgelux strips. Anyhow ya I’ve been useing 12 x QB132 and been absolutely amazed and satisfied with the results. I’m growing in a closet and I can’t grow giant plants so I’ve resorted to some vigorous training and ScrOGging. But the quantum boards allow me to put them close to the canopy and the don’t create a shit ton of heat like the HPS lights do. I was looking on Alibaba.com at the quantum boards and each time I ended up just contacting HLG and getting there boards. Some day maybe I can get a seller in Alibaba.com to sell me a few boards with free shipping lol

I’ve seen pictures of grows with mars hydro lights and they produce bud but I don’t see incredible results. Maybe I’ve seen a couple really nice looking plants under mars hydro lights

Yeah QB Tech is awesome, Tbh I would just stick with HLG, they are a reputable company that produces top-grade LED grow lights at least with those guys you know what you are getting.

Alibaba is cheap for a reason because those companies have no qualms about using cheap LG or Epistar diodes and palming them off to unsuspecting customers as Samsungs.

When you think about the cost of the raw materials alone vs the price they are selling their products at, the maths do not add up in most cases they would be either selling at a loss or breakeven at best if they were using genuine parts as they claim. Trust me these companies have no shame and they have no problem lying to people in the West in order to get the sale. They have been doing it for years because they know they can get away with it, and they sure as heck ain't about to stop any time soon:(.
