QB 135 Rspec from the horticulture lighting group tried and tested tech, a ton of info here in the forum about quantum board tech, great support (Stephen and Robin frequent this forum), and reputable trustworthy companyWhat’s a good light that isn’t too expensive for vegging and flower
Yes, as you can dim it down to 60 Watt to see you through veg and crank it up through flower, I have got one of these kits and it is actually drawing 172 Watts at the wall, really high-quality producthttps://horticulturelightinggroup.com/products/135w-qb-v2-rspec-led-kit would this light be good for veg and flower in a 2x2 space
How much do you yield per plantI use these from EBAy. 2 for $79. They work great in a 5 x 3 x 2. For the price, and they are full spectrum, I just use until they quit. I have been using year round for 2 years and still going strong.
Great idea. My supply is only 90w, so I'll put a Meanwell driver on it for flowering. With such limited vertical space, I'd suggest a diy strip build utilizing 2 foot LED strips. Either the ones with lm301b diodes, or the super cheap EB gen 2 strips. The EBs are less than $5 each, so you can buy a bunch of them and get excellent coverage. When you have enough strips, you can run them without heatsinks, and you'll also be able to run the lights real close to the plants.
What are the dimensions on the light brother?
Because you don't need to spend top dollar for a quality light. I spent 70 on a light... under 150 bucks total for everything in my grow, and ill pull a decent yeild. And you could buy anything used but a used light is the last thing you want to buy used. I can see if you have the money or are commercial growing. Theres a guy on here that seen mine and he bought 4 of the 70 dollar lights I have for his large space and seems to be working great. Definitly if you have the money .go for it. But if not.. Theres plenty of decent "cheap" lights. Idk why you'd say don't bother?Honestly, if your budget doesnt allow for quality led, why bother.
With that kind of money i would go with a used hid off ebay or craigslist and good ventilation.
Because a cheap led is twice the price of an hid. Its not an upgrade if you are running an led producing the same amount of heat, at or near the same wattage as an equivalent hid. Bang for buck hid still wins.... I run an led so im not hatingBecause you don't need to spend top dollar for a quality light.
