Dehumidifier help

I run my dehumidifier everyday, but the tank fills up quickly. I always vacuum any run off after watering the plants to keep the humidifier running less. My question is, what can I do to keep it running longer? It would be ideal to drain it into a large bucket. I also don’t want to spend more money buying a massive dehumidifier. I attached photos of the dehumidifier.

Should have a place to hook up a drain hose to it. Usually on the back or side.

No on the large bucket unless you like cleaning up water off the floor. Yes to a floor drain.
whats the humidity of the room? Is it a sealed room? Do you need a dehumidifier? Are you exhausting air 24/7 to the outside? if so you dont need a dehumidifier as you are dehumidfing the planet.
Set the controls to a higher level.

So your air conditioning the planet then?
Whats the natural humidity outside where you are?
Maybe get a bigger fan for the exhaust? With no dehumidifier no a/c if you can You need a sealed room and co2 for A/C
And isnt an air conditioner the same thing as a dehumidifier? If you have it set to recirculate the air in the room and not have it pull in air from outside. Isnt it the same?

Also you want A/C central air or a splitter is the way to go a shaker unit will leak smell if you try and seal up the room and add co2.

I still say no to the bucket idea. Although if you put it on the shelf and have it drain into a barrel then you have free clean water to use on the girls.

I did this for a while successfully. Sat dehumidifier on $10, 55 gallon drum. lots of clean clear water. After I read enough to use a lot of people wont. Its clean...or mine was anyway

Right on its just clean water I dont know if you call it distilled or not but whatever. I have the same dehumidifier as the op (i think) and I use it in the winter when I dont exhaust outside and when I empty the container I just put it in one of my barrels to use later on. I like saving money just as much as I like to spend it.

Been using dehuey water for the plants for years it's fine. Trouble is same as the op; gotta empty it twice a day. That's par for the course this time of year. It does have a hose connection but it also leaks all over the floor. Wish I had more insight than that for you but I don't. Bought the biggest ass unit I could afford and now I just empty it into buckets. Twice. Daily. The struggle is real

Update: New set up where the dehumidifier is installed up high and drains into a 26 gallon bucket underneath. Going to use this water for my plants.

• What is it rated to pull in fluid per day?
• Do you think it's doing a decent job in your room, now that it's elevated and you're catching the water below?

Not sure the exact model but its a Noma. Building a strong platform then raising it makes a big difference. I only need to empty the bucket every 4 days. Before, the built in bucket needed to be emptied like every 6-8 hours. This way its always running and no humidity spikes.
