Hi everyone, I ordered two LED lights from Amazon and they accidentally shipped me an extra one. I'm not complaining. Here it is.

I set up and want to utilize the third but I'm concerned about the amount of light these all emit at once. I have them 40 inches away from seedlings, recommended by GREENGO. They are full spectrum 1200W equivalents. Tent is 60"x60"x80". Temps are sitting at ~74°F and humidity 65% for reference. I just transplanted all 10 babies to 3 Gallon smart pots and need the surface area covered now.

Ok. Had to come back. You just purchased those.....

If.....you were my grow partner, I would recommend we return those and get tech more like this.

Not the input I was expecting. I wasn't asking for your bias. Please read the title again please. Also, I'm not returning something I got for free.

Geesh. Sorry for not using your terminology. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or be rude man.

You're quick to judge and insult. It's quite obvious, like I said, I wasn't asking for your bias view on what light to use or if it was a "joke". I was just asking if a third light was too strong for seedlings at their current height. Equivalent means....ahh fuck it. Let me say it a third time, the light was free, dude. I'll keep my 3-year warranty.

And I'm not your partner, douche. Don't make it complicated.

So what input did you expect? Hey yeah use the crap lights because you got a deal on them? You are getting solid advise. Whatever can be grown under those lights you can triple or quadruple that with a high quality LED.

And yes, at +40" it should be safe to use. Actually id defo throw it in there in order to keep the temps a bit higher. Also, are they dimable?

omg.. it's attack of the light snobs... they low quality, low efficiency, but they cheap and they output a decent amount for the money. and the OP already has them, it's done..

your fine bro. worked out good that you got the 3rd, you need it for your setup.

Any light that advertises 1200 watts but draws 250 is a bad light and should be avoided.
I haven't had any issues with my LEDs. We are talking about LEDs right? The energy-efficient light emitting diodes? This is the right place....LED lighting forum. Ok. These lights are fine and dandy, my friend. I hate repeating myself. This is solid advice? Telling me to return free shit? These aren't advertisements, they're clearly specifications. GREENGO is legit from my experience. Again, you guys are quick to judge when you shouldn't be. The first post answered my question about 10 percent. "Should be ok." Thanks for that. I'm out.

They're not great lights, brotha. They'll do the trick, but a white based spectrum is much more effective. Those are lights using tech from over 15yrs ago.
As the first reply stated, the HLG lights on Amazon are a much better choice.

Those lights aren't completely useless though. If and when you do upgrade to a higher quality LED such as COBs, Strips or Boards, those are perfect lights for vegging under especially if they have a switch that can turn on just the blue/white diodes.

it is the perfect amount of light. 250w x 3 = 750 watts / 25 sq ft = 30 watts per square foot.

I run 480w in a 4x4 which is the exact same w/sqft.

I won't wade into the light argument but i strongly advise you pick up some of these: https://www.bghydro.com/gro-pro-nx-level-pot-elevator-16-in.html

or something similar to get those smart pots up off the floor. it makes a world of difference. good luck to you.

EDIT: you could remove one or dim them for Veg. you'd only need the full 750w in flower.

Wow! 3600 watt equivalents over anything in that tent should be x3 more then you could ever need. Lol!

I’m new to growing. I just wanna say thanks for the link. I have 5 g fabric pots and like the idea to raise them. I’m buying a couple of the saucers and raisers
