Was this using GFF?Last daily update. Proved my point I think. 7 Days/1 week:
No. Turns out my rot problems were caused by my new water source. GFF didn't help me in my case. Had to start hauling in a different water source. Many people here have had success with GFF though. Was this using GFF?
I just got myself some today. Adding it to my res for preventative.

Pretty close. Although I question if well water might even be better than mine. Mine is town water. However were talking about a town with the population of 50 and the water source is a near by lagoon. Even when I run it through r/o and ppm down to 0 I still get skunked with root rot no matter what I do. If you read through this thread you'll see I learned that one the hard way lol.Well water?
I just moved and noticed my water isn’t as good as the previous city water. Haven’t noticed anything bad with the ladies tho. Got some GFF in hopes to prevent anything bad. My res temps were getting a little on the high side and made me worry a little.Pretty close. Although I question if well water might even be better than mine. Mine is town water. If you're using city water I'm guessing you should be fine if you have everything else in check. In fact that's what I'm hauling out here now. Mine tastes awful and smells like a damn hot tub but the plants love it, so whatever.I just moved and noticed my water isn’t as good as the previous city water. Thx bro. Wish it wouldn't of took so long to figure it out but is what it is. Things looking good now at least. Just need patience to re-build the army back up.Glad you are having some luck finally mate. Hope you have a good harvest.

HellifinoCan I use green cure and hydroguard together? Or do they cancel each other out?
No it's not. It's only effective for a couple days tops. You end up adding more and more and more until there's a large dead population murking up your res. It's 40 for hydrogaurd and it simply works. It's well worth the price in the grand scheme of things.i started to read the thread and the first couple of pages there's a lot of bickering before people begin to start testing the product
is there a TLDR for this now that it has been tested for the last few years?
I'm looking to do some kratky/dwc setups for things like cherry tomatoes and would like to know if this stuff "Southern Ag - 05171 - Garden Friendly Fungicide - Fungicide - 8oz" from amazon is just as good as hydroguard
I saw some people mentioning an amazon comment that says to dilute this stuff 1:20 with water, and then to treat the rez at 1ml/gallon. is that still holding true or has this changed with testing? or is it better to just use hydroguard?
thanks!
Thx bro, I appreciate that.R.Raider,
I just finished reading this thread, I learned a lot, and yeah I know it's old and dead.
I wanted to say that I respect your perseverance!! That was a hell of a battle!
And you even maintained your cool when the troll showed up talking smack.
Cheers to you!
Glad you were able to find the root of your evil, and hope you had a successful harvest.
I love a happy ending,

Great information!Thx bro, I appreciate that.
Been a while since dropping an update here and the truth is that I am STIll battling issues and still learning.
Things I've learnt since my last post here are that I'm dealing with Fusarium, not Pythium(had a plant lab tested). I'm guessing this why none of the bio-fungicides worked for me because once you have Fusarium their is NO cure.
I've also learned that once your plant is showing signs of infection(root rot and etc) from Fusarium your plant is already massively infected. I use to think when i first was starting to see signs of root rot that this was the beginning stages of infection. That is not the case though. Fusarium is systemic and by the time you actually see signs of infection your plant has actually already been infected for quite sometime already.
There also seems to be some discrepancies out there on whether or not it's ok to take clones off of infected plants. And when it comes to Fusarium the answer to that is a solid NO. Even if the plant and cuttings look healthy it will for sure catch up to you eventually. Tossing out all your mothers and starting all over is a hard thing to do but is absolutely 100% necessary.
My advice to anyone who is having root rot problems but knows for sure they have all their shit in check(temps, DO, light leaks and etc) would be to get one of your plants lab tested and find out EXACTLY what pathogen your dealing with. Even though different pathogens might have similar symptoms, treating them may not be the same. Some pathogens are curable and others are not. Finding out exactly what pathogen you have can save you a lot of time and money *cough cough* lol.
Well it will all depend on where you live. Personally I'd look for a place that's close enough for you to drive your plant sample there as opposed to mailing it. Try googling labs in your area and make some phone calls. Maybe try an agriculture lab first. If that doesn't work out ask if they have any suggestions to another place. Some places are hesitant to test cannabis plants so you may have to phone a few places. I had to phone around a bit first until I found a place but was totally worth the 15 minutes of my time.Great information!
Amy recommendation for testing labs?
