There's a difference between top bin vs bottom bin diodes, along with the quality of the other components the Chinese lights use vs HLG. Here's a good thread that goes into more detail about it. HLG has the good stuff.

Exactly!!! I run a Honnor 7x. From China. And it can do everything a Samsung or any other 'name brand' phone can do. And it was 1/4 the price. You just helped make my point.

My point was they have their own factory, and I hate misinformation. Honestly I love seeing people succeed from Shenzhen. Hate seeing the failures.

Yes, but no one has proved that while HLG is using all top-bin that the 'knockoffs' aren't. It's all just assumption. Which is probably valid. But I wanna see proof. Its all just talk

Back on the original topic, what kind of coverage is the OP looking for? Because that 8.5ft x 7.2ft @36" is pretty ridiculous if you didn't know any better. Maybe 3x3? That's 40w/sq-ft and that'd be probably be just fine, even if it is a cheapy Amazon light. There's a couple pics in the reviews that look good, but of course you gotta take that with a big grain of salt. I'd rather try the Mars Hydro, but it's an extra $60. Basically do whatever your budget allows and make the best of it, have fun, etc.

After reading everyones feedback and also getting feedback from another thread and I am honestly crossed on the decision of the Mars Hydro TS 1000, the HLG's, and I am getting feedback about the Spider Farmer as well. However, my budget is $150 or less for a light and my tent is 32x32x63.
You've got 7 square feet to cover. Those are going to be too low. At that point I'd rather gamble with something else, trading quality of light for more light. As much of an led enthusiast as I am, I would highly suggest you look into a 315 cmh kit. It is honestly perfect for that size tent and is as close to led efficiency as HiD goes. While I know you said HiD lighting isn't what you are aiming for I think it will give you the best coverage for the lowest price.
If you still want an led light that will cover that area you will need to look into DIY options like a 4 board qb 120/132 build. Most of those components can be found on Amazon or at a hardware store. Total pricing should be about $260.

I'm no expert at leds as I use them only for supplemental lighting but a friend of mine uses the viparapectra 600s from Amazon and he has good results, really frosty nice buds, they dont get quite the weight or density as hid and you have to make sure you keep the budsites uncovered by leaves bc penetration isn't great, but he grows great bud with them

I'm new on here. I bought a King Led 600w (not actual, actual is 185?) but it works good. I grew 1 huge white widow, had low yields but had heat stress and only had the light for flowering. I picked it too early. Now have 4 going under it now in week 9ish of flowering, they started outside and were brought inside 3 weeks from seed. I also used a COB 300 W light (80 w actual) from Menards during veg for extra light. Also have a 27w cfl. Some may laugh at the setup, but it fits my budget and the CFL's were free. I figured any extra watt boost I can get the better. The King LED is around 70bux now, it was around 120 when I got it.
You will get what you spend, but I would look for one with a veg and flower/bloom switch. Mine does not have one on it. The fans are great on it, the light does not heat up bad.

I have allot of experience with LED's and all I can tell you is not to waste your money on this...I have no choice but to find a light on amazon due to $$$. Mind you this would be for like 4 maybe 5 grows until I can afford to purchase a better light.
So, does anyone have any success stories and or suggestions from what light I should pick on Amazon so far my eye in on the:

Okay rephrase... It’s not a waste but it's not what you want/need right now.
These pink LED are great because they offer different UV and IV spectrums but they lack penetrative power regarding PPFD and light intensity... these lights will give you crystalized nuggs/buds but without any weight. Regarding LED’s that add weight only COB’s and QB’s are worth it.
ultimately the best grow light setup that you can have is a combination of HPS/QB(HLG)/COB + UV/IV based LED lights
The first will offer the penetrative capabilities that you want ideally above 1000PPFD for flowering, and the latter will hurt the plant into creating more crystals…
But believe me you are going to want the weight right now.
