Look .... if you can better your results in any way , then you are getting experience.

Vipar does what it does , sure there are better lights out there ( especially now ) but learning what it can and cant do is the key.

From my old vipar days :

yup but if you have no heating you can run all you want in the winter but they throw off lots of heat if its the summer in the summer if u really want to grow I would go for some cobs or qbs imo
that’s what I was looking into as well since they provide zero to hardly any heat. Do you know of any inexpensive set ups? I have a 4x2x5 tent and would like to just run one light

see good results I don't know why people bash blurple that hard I like it but I cant do the heat
I don’t mean to stray away from the buy just looking for help from experienced growers. If I take a loss on this light so be it but if theirs better options out there why not explore a bit first.

and if u really want the best bang for your buck just buy QB288 V2 Rspec & Slate 2 Triple doesn't come with a driver but u can go buy a driver from https://www.ledsupply.com/power-supplies/mean-well-hlg-series then get the HLG-320H-48B for me it would be 350 for me not bad at all paying about what I would pay for a product like this very cheap rn the heatsink and the rspec boards are only 279.00 then with code diy10 its down to 251.10
shipping not sure about but idc about shipping but to do it like that would be a good way to get all the stuff in one box its gonna cost ya like 450 just do some bargain hunting all u need is some 18 awg wire and a Leviton 515PR 15 Amp 125 Volt, Straight Blade Rubber Plug, NEMA 5-15P, Black : from amazon like 6 bucks the wire I use is solid core shaxon wire u can get 25ft of red and black for like 16 and never buy it again but depends on if you do a lot of diy leds that's me

Shoot for at least 300 watts of actual led ( Quantums) for your space , I run two QB96s ( sold out right now ) with a meanwell 320watt.
They are extremely bright .... I recommend that driver is a B type for dimmer control ( via a potentiometer ) to set power levels for stages of growth.

Mine is a little different because of the added UV and 10000 finisher lamp but you will get the idea. Simple aluminum L framing from hardware store and your done. Or the 3 piece QB 288 R spec kit.

In same size tent you have ... spacing between is set at 24” ( for lamps and overlap of quantums )
The QB96s were on sale for $69 ( I missed out , but they will restock ) .... U.S. Made ( Ohio / Tennessee)
Company has stellar service.

Is that what you were explaining in the previous post about it costing $350? Is it a more powerful light over all than the one that’s pre built?

the one that is pre built is more expensive has only 260 watts and the one that cost a little bit more and I mean a a reasonable increase to say why not spend the extra 30 bucks and do a little more work for around 320 watts or more mine that is the same one pulls around 350 watts and it gives u another board for more even spread the 350 I was talking about only has 2 rspec boards

Ahh gotcha. Get 2 QB288’s right or just one? Is this all I need besides some wire and connectors to make my own?
