How long do you have to hold 12/12 after forcing flower?

Thanks for the replies guys. Like I said the "naps" was a joke.

As for 24/0 or 20/4, I think I'll stay with my 18/6. They seem to be ok with it.

Oh yeah,
They're trained, one topped, and all defoliated too.
Whoops...

nice pics... you seem to have heat stress/ light stress though... not really sure on this but judging from some of the pics (2, 4, 5) you've got the serrated pulled up sides of the the leaves more to the tops than to the middle of the plant.

Good eyeball :)
The lights are a new setup so still trying to workout the bugs.
Pretty happy with them so far for a noob.
Will definitely keep an eye on it.
Thanks!

Sometimes i think 12/12 would help, im looking forward to seeing how it pans out. I do think your plant was about to flip on its own and you ran out of patience. bongsmilie
i think so to man, id actually have ran it 18/6 but i psyched myself out with it as all my previous auto started flowering at 14 days and this one 6 weeks.. kind of weird for an auto no?
anyway 1212 is working great so it will remain a mystery.

Thanks! I haven't done any growing in a few years, forgotten a lot, this cleared up some things. I was expecting some start to flower by week 4 but here I am at 6 and some are just starting to show (I hope). First time I tried these seeds I thought they were photo so I go straight 12 x 12 they turned
into males, so I took some of those seeds and started over at 18x6

Was a joke btw.
18/6 here...
They will be fine, there is a lot of information on autos on 12/12 and it works just fine. Think about it a lot of growers grow autos with photoperiods for an early harvest. The yield may be less so it is not optimal though.

  • Autoflowers in the “flower room” – If you are growing regular (photo-sensitive) plants but still want to get some early autoflower buds then you can put autoflower seeds in the flowering chamber and get decent buds well before your photo-sensitive strains have matured. You can even grow your autos together with photos from the start giving them 24 hours of light and then switching the light cycle to 12/12 when you want your photos to start flowering. Autoflowers will not mind the light cycle change and contrary to popular belief this change won’t increase the hermaphrodite rates.
  • Growing autos outdoors – If you are growing autoflower plants outdoors in the spring or in the autumn when the day is about 12 hours long then that won’t impair autoflower plant growth and they will still flower and produce you great buds.

Obviously I'm new as hell, but I'm reading up a lot. Something I've seen in a few grow journals:

Occasionally an auto seed will turn out to be photoperiod. If yours takes forever and won't flower under 18/6 or higher, that might be the situation.

If that's the case, you need to switch to 12/12 to flower and stay with that cycle for the rest of the grow. Switching back would be bad. So it seems that you can move to 12 if you want, but you should stay with that after you do in case you've got a photo.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, though.
