I built this mainly for flushing since I use tap water for that and I don't want to fill up 5 gallon buckets one at a time and pH adjust them all lol.
I used a folding cart I had sitting around and put a 30 gallon drum on it. I went ahead and put it on a couple cinder blocks since the cart is sorta easy to flip with the handle when there is little weight on it.
I used a 1100 GPH pump I had sitting around thru a 3/4" grommet with a barbed fitting and a shutoff valve with a hose connector. I coulda just been sloppy with the hose and just went up and out the barrel top but that's not my style.
I have a hose that's just long enough for my needs at 10 feet and a splitter that has two short 3 foot leads, save a drop water meters and watering wands. This way I can water two plants at once (this allows for the water to soak in instead of pausing periodically). The meters let me make sure I get the same amount of water to each plant.
I put a smaller 400 GPH pump I also had laying around in the barrel to circulate the water, I used the aeration attachment on the pump outlet. This is especially handy when titrating to pH the barrel.
I have a float valve on the drum that I can connect to a water supply, either my RO or tap. So I can roll it up and dock it to automatically fill. Then when I need it I simply roll it to the room I want to water, plug the outlet pump in, open the shutoff valve and go to town. I do have "docking ports" in each room to park it for a refill.
I may put a power strip on the carts handle and a 1/4" grommet on the air line but other than that I see it as complete. I will call it Little Blue. lol
I have a larger cart and a 55 gallon drum that I may put together and call Big Black lol. Will see if I need it, it wouldn't be easy to get through my light locks between rooms like the smaller cart/drum.
