First time grower. Harvest time opinions

Exactly what I’m doing in my opinion. I’ve got multiple seeds of stuff I wanna grow great so I’m using unknown seeds to practice training methods while my really good light is used for the flowering period of 1 plant atm.
I wish I would have found the GrowBoss on YouTube first. Would have saved so much money and TIME! Do yourself a favor and check him out. Cheers

So far I’ve only invested $35 total in my lights. Found some that work really well. But lack of experience and fear of burning leaves i put light a little high. Another thing about my plant is it’s all natural. Using compost tea and fox farms big bloom(I think that’s the name of it) lol. It’s looking awesome.

Alright I think I only have 1 last question.
A friend who works in a dispensary claims I should drop my temps in flower room
To 50-55° at night time to force coloring of the plant. Is this true?
I feel like those temps are too low since it averages 70-72 during light hours

Looks fire bro good job nice structure, real frosty calaxys are swelling. Keep her going untill all the hairs die back and turn red and all the thrichomes are cloudy with a little amber. You will know when the time is right but id give her another week atleast
Thanks. Doing what I can for a first grow ever lol

Also last week we noticed a rainbow look on the walls. Like it was reflecting thru the trics. Now we don’t see that look. What exactly was the rainbow effect we were getting? Or has anyone else even seen it lol

I’d say 75% of the white hairs look like they have changed to red/brown.
The difference between now and a few days from now is getting smaller all the time. There are people that would have harvested that plant 2 weeks ago because (imho) they really don’t know any better.

This definitely isn’t one of those things where if you don’t harvest on one specific day it’s all ruined. Ripening takes time, just like growing the buds in the first place took time.

Really you need to look at the whole plant. I’d have to go back and check but I usually post the basic maturation process for people on these threads. It’s about watching all the signs the plant is giving. Currently the swelling of the calyx would be the sign on hand. If you go back to the first page and look at the calyxs, and look at your last picture they are fatter/plumper. Once the swelling has happened then you can look at trichomes on the actual buds.
