Some sort of deficiency?

Hey everyone! I just started to notice what I think is calcium def. Theyre brown spots on the leaves about half way up the plant all the way up to the top. Also I have some red/purple stems on these plants that shouldn’t be. It’s not from cold temps but maybe a phosphorus issue also. I use House and Garden base nutes and the fertilizer is on the lowers side of phosphorus. Any hell is great appreciated.

Have you checked for bugs lately?
Oh yeah, it's not bugs, thankfully. Some sort of deficiency, just trying to figure out what it is. It looks like Ca but also P so I'm curious if these two elements are tied some how where maybe too much in one is blocking the other.

What’s your ph? P and Ca are antagonistic so an imbalance of one will cause an imbalance in the other. But Both P and Ca are mobile so as long as the temps are good you would expect to see symptoms down low not to the top. Are you absolutely positive it’s not bugs? Thrip are really hard to see. Are you using a 60x loupe to check the back of the leaf?

I'm pretty sure calcium is immobile in the plant.

Yeah calcium is immobile from what I know. Also I’m positive it isn’t bugs. Thrips leave shite marks on the leaves while also leaving some shiny film on the top part of the leaf

Technically they call it semi-mobile. It tends to go to spots and stays there. I don't say this to be a know it all or anything. Its an important distinction for diagnosis. Because mobile nutes show on the bottom and immobile at the top, but Calcium will show first anywhere on the plant. Cal confuses alot of people because of this.
