Yeah
Thats real breeding my friend you have to run huge numbers the more the better more chance of finding something special that way
I understand the concept of numbers but I don't think you need to run hundreds of plants to breed cannabis. You can use a sample of 20 plants and still find quality traits in both male and female specimens. I'm not saying this about you but I think many people have an opinion that the seeds they buy come from breeders with big greenhouses and sterile cultivating environments. That's not the case. Many are working in small spaces, outdoors where cross pollination can occur, and limited budgets. That's why you hear talk of a dozen pheno's from a single strain. That's ridiculous. I have strains I've created using 20 plants for breeding that are 80 - 90% the same when growing from seeds. There is minimal disparity between plants.
I've also found that as I get into F4 and F5 generations that the plants are literally identical when grown from seed. This is seed that was started with an initial five seeds of a landrace crossed with another five landrace plants. All mingled together. What I take from this is that I'm able to stabilize a strain while many of these so called "Breeders" can't.
I don't think many are actually breeding anything. I think they're chucking pollen and selling seeds. They are not breeding. They're making money. I've got crosses I've made that are better than half the stuff out there. This isn't rocket science. I make crosses of Corn, Squash, Tomato's, Cannabis, etc.... I just give them away for free instead of marketing them and making a living off of it. That's why you haven't heard of me
