Chem Dog information wanted

I’m going to start growing Chem Dog or a variant of it my next run and I would like input from you guys. I have spent several days researching different breeders and so far this is what I’ve come up with

Apothecary Genetics Chem 91’
Apothecary Genetics Chem D
Greenhouse Genetics Chemdog if I can find some
The Cali Connection Chem 91 SK VA

I have read several post, interviews, and articles about the Chem strains and several have stated, including an article with Chem himself, that the Chem series through Apothecary is the real deal and was created from cuttings of his original Chem D plant. I also read that the Greenhouse Chemdog strain, name, and rights to it was purchased from Bret at Apothecary so both of these should be similar when grown and explains why Apothecary’s name is Chem D and not ChemDog as it was before the Greenhouse purchase. I would love to find a comparison online where someone has grown both at the same time and compared the final product but haven’t found anything. The last Chem I have run across and considering is from Cali Connection and the Rollitup user Swerve. From what I’ve read on here and other forums the Chem 91 SK VA is as close to the original as possible and was also created from cuttings of the original. Has anyone grown any of the 4 listed and if so what seems to be the best and not just a sour diesel. I’m looking for the more creative type buzz like talked about when reading information regarding the original Chemdog and not just couch lock. Also, has anyone tried Seth Rogen’s Chemdog strain from his company Houseplant? I would love to find some information about it and what seeds or cuttings Canopy Growth used to create his version. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this and all information is appreciated.

I've grown a ton of chems and the breeders that I can say have the best representations FROM WHAT I'VE GROWN are
1. Top Dawg
2. Jimmy Nitz/pisces
3. Rez

I prefer the D the most. But all of these displayed variegated leaves which is a common trait of chem

I doubt any of those even have real chem genetics. Especially greenhouse. If you want anything chem related look into TopDawg, lucky dog seed co., Dominion... all directly tied into the “chem family” that originally brought chem into the world. CSI Humboldt has an S1 of Chem 91.

If you absolutely must go with one of those three mentioned I guess go with Cali Connection. I think his chem is crossed to Bubba though or something like that and people have had hit or miss success with his stuff...

if you’re in the US it’s pretty easy to grab an actual cut of 91 and D. Chem 4 seems a little scarce but it’s also around a bit. Many pretenders in the Chem cutting game as well though so do some research.

Absolutely nothing. Thats how chem d is as verified by Greg himself. Some veriegation. You can get em pretty green by feeding more and extra calmag. And it seems to go away in flower from what ive seen.
Heres another pic from someone else.
Not positive about the other chems but I think they may also have it.View attachment 4435750
100% this

Several plants have the camo variegation thing as identifying markers, chem d being one.

I had good plants come out of GPS copper chem. Had a couple Chem 4 leaning females, 2 Stardawg leaning males, and my favorite a stinky ass chem D looking male.

I am growing copper chem by gps right now and it looks nice but no smoke yet. I also bought the f2 stardawgs so looking forward to that!
all my copper chems have hollow stems

Damn thanks everyone for responding I’ll definitely look elsewhere and I’m glad I didn’t throw down money yet. I’ll start researching everything in a little bit and pick out a few strains to try. I’m assuming everything that’s available online information wise in magazine articles and even on forums related to the strain is nonsense. I have a feeling money from certain companies and individuals has basically tainted the real information that’s out there to drive up sells.

Connoisseur Genetics is working with Rez line, the variation ojd works with are outcrossed chem d (Rez) to motorbteath (Pisces) and ghost og (orgnkid) legit chem expressions. Top and lucky dog are original chem crew guys, top dog literally is skunk_va the dude. How can you get closer to the chem genetics than the guy that even gave it back to chemdog himself when he lost the cut. Chem 91, chem d, and sour d are my favorite cuts of all time! Jj and skunk va are probably the best bet for sure fire chem genetics.
