Every grow ive done i get leaf tacos and issues in flower.

Day 66 now

OG, Bubba, and Skunk Kush

Now when I say I've tried different things throughout this post, I don't mean just in this grow. I mean throughout all my grows I've been trying solve this issue.

Ive done both soil and hydroton with multiple strains. Doesn't matter what strain I'm using doesn't matter which medium I'm using this happens every time

I tried both advanced nutrients and mega crop. Currently still using Mega crop.

Lights are QB 304s.
I have two 304s over each plant.
HLG 320H C1400B

My max w my driver is 82.5 watts per board. But I can only get to that in veg.

it seems like the further I go in flower the less Light they want every time and im really gettin frustrated.

Im down to 50 watts per 304 now, so 100 over each plant. 18-22" from canopy

The 3rd plant is under an HLG 65 and whatever plant is under that seems to have less of these issues.

Soil is Fox Farms Happy Frog and ocean Forest mix 50/50 with lots of perlite.

PH range has been 6.3 to 6.5.

And I do add extra cal-mag every feeding because I'm under Quantum boards. And I've also tried it without any extra calmag which makes things worse

I've tried letting it run with the day temps in the 60s as well as high as low 80s.

I flush a few weeks into flower and again midway through, always following up with fresh nutes.

When I do feedings I put a gallon of plain through first followed by two gallons of nutrients, all PH'd.

Humidity was a bit high but now it's down around 50%
temps to the low 60s at night
temps in the seventies at day

It always feels like too much light to me, and turn the lights back down while keeping the nutrient levels the same is what I end up doing every time and i'm sick of it.

What the F gives? Are these 304 so overkill for my grow that I need to downsize? Do I need a new nutrient line? I'm really getting tired of putting all this time and effort into a grow and doing everything the way I think is right, yet having these damn Leaf tacoing BS every effing time.

Why do these damn things thrive in Veg at 330 watts but act like vampires in flower at 250?!?

I've even tried repositioning the QB further and closer together. Should I just remove two Quantum boards and run two higher?

Have you tried the temps around mid 80's? I thought that was the ideal temp. for LED's?

Edit: don't worry just read it again..

Well shit, thanks guys.....maybe i am just overthinking it lol....

So I guess 50 watts per QB 304 is enough when you have two of them over each plant?
Ive seen where people have had one 304 at 100w over a plant.
Should I go ahead and dial these things back up?

Can we talk in terms of watts per square foot.

Its interesting you feel you have more problems in flower, most find more probs in veg if its the light intensity

Why are you flushing at such crucial stages of bloom, id recommend stop flushing? Also putting 1 gallon of fresh water through before feeding is another issue and I'd recommend to stop doing that. If you want just do a feed, feed, plain water cycle or just feed lower like 1.1EC or 600ppm or even lower depending on how plants look every watering.

Try not doing these 2 things on a plant see how it performs for you. I'd say you will be able to keep the qb's turned up with no issues without the shock of being flushed during stretch stage when N is so important and then again flushing when pk is so important.

I have an hlg 260 in a 2x4x5 and it’s almost too much. I have 300w (6) of cobs in a 3x3 as well. I find the cobs to be a “softer” light and the plants can take more, sooner. I veg under t5’s and when I transition to led’s I keep it at about 50% and only into flower do I start ramping it up slowly. Like over the course of 3 weeks slowly.
you’re also running a bit too hot on the nutes. Whatever your formula is dial it back. This could be causing you issues as well.
Folks don’t realize how strong the qb’s are. It took me a while to clue in.

Are you just using the Mega Crop or the are you adding the Sweet Candy and Bud Explosion?
Yes, I'm running megacrop, sweet candy, bud explosion, I was still using the advanced nutrients Sensi Cal Mag but just ordered more megacrop additives including the Cal Mag and kelp. I also use mykos wettable powder and add a little bit to each gallon.

Well your leaf tips are all blown out maybe run less nutes or push it slightly less hard next time round sometimes less is more
I've done that throughout this grow. I'm at about 50-60% nute strength now.

I've had nitrogen toxicity issues without Flushing. I thought it was good to get rid of unused salts and replace with fresh nutrients

I always started off low through the veg and slowly turn them up. And I can usually get the lights cranked all the way up in veg by the time I'm ready to flip. But then when I flip, about 4-5 weeks and things start going downhill.

I don't run qbs but don't most people hang them more like 28" to 30" from the canopy?
Really? I thought most people were running 18 to 22"

It's an odd shaped room. But the back wall where the 304s hang is roughly 6 ft by 30"

Check this out, only 260 watts covering a 3x6 area or 500 watts covering 2- 3x4 areas.

Also, when I use FF Ocean Forrest I never have to feed my plants but once at beginning of flower and once half way through flower so they go 2 months in the Ocean Forrest before adding any extra nutrition
I don't give nutrients for the first 4-6 weeks

I can only say that.. this flushing thing could be an issue...I was doing that flushing thing in between.. I never could get my plants back right afterwards.. it seemed I was starving them.. I stopped flushing and throwing a lot of water on my soil & noticed I had a more developed root system..
