How high should I put this CFL above seedlings in rockwool ?
It depends on how strong your light is , my experience with cfl’s is limited but I had a 250 watt that I used for herbs and such in my window. Worked great for a couple of years but changed the bulb a couple of months ago with this fancy cfl/led that has a fan and all of the bulbs face downward. Generally, about 24” - 30” above top of seedlings should be a safe distance, you don’t want your seedlings to get too leggy. if they are getting too leggy move the light down. How high should I put this CFL above seedlings in rockwool ?
Yep, i agree with this.1-2 inches if air circulation, humidity and temps are right. If not 3-6 inches so you don’t burn them.
Just dealt with this few days ago i had my first set of true leaves out so i put it right under cfl like 1inch and it burned the tips. Moved it like 3 inches away and its lovin itHow high should I put this CFL above seedlings in rockwool ?
I have it 8"Rep+ for the 125w cfl, awesome lights, hang higher than six inch easily
Find the level at which you get upwards growth daily, not stretching but not like some who have nodes stacked so close. Youll get use to distances, in a perfect environment any stress is usually the light too closeI have it 8"
