Shit man, when you're as simple as me you've got to try to learn something new every day. Your journal taught that a humidity spike can compromise an air filter, never would have thought of that. Nice bud porn and general camaraderie makes for an overall good time. I'm baked and rambling...have a great day

Day 61, 2 days shy of the end of week 9, and I don't know what to think and about to start listening to My Mind Is Playing Tricks On Me - Geto Boys. Any one remember that song? Really it ain't that bad, just wanted to give a quick update.

I have a lot running through my mind about my current grow, and was hoping to be wrapping it up by Christmas but pretty sure its not going to happen, and I am cool with that. Every couple days I get the loop out and check things, more for the learning experience than anything. Trying to study the process of the plant, seeing what if anything has changed. Anyways enough carrying on, while I was in there this morning I played more with my camera, here are a few pictures I took.

In this picture on the top of the bud I thought I had a nanner but its a new pistol folded up, showed up in the picture weird.

After some time spent looking into things, I watched a video that I've seen many times. Its a video of The Beard, Scott Ostrander from NFTG, talking about flowering with their products. So in the morning, which is in a few hours, I am cutting out everything except Herculean Harvest and Aphrodite's Extraction for the next 14 days. That will put my harvest 11 weeks of what I consider flip, 12 weeks since I actually went to 12/12.

The plan! I already got plans with my lovely girlfriend for the morning and evening of Christmas Eve. Then on Christmas morning, and I will probably have a hangover, the plants are coming down. December 25th 2019 is their execution day, however due to the intensity of my projected hangover and other obligations that day they may get a stay of execution for a day!

I think I will be good.

So just got done watering, while in there I pulled each plant out of the tent for inspection and also to scrape the top of the soil. Over time the bone meal used in NFTG will develop a crust, it's easy to deal with and only the second time doing it during the entire grow. I also used it as another photo practice session. Plus most of the out of tent close ups I've posted are of the 8 Ball Kush, here are the Bubblegum Boogies that have been lurking in the back all this time.

Also was my first time checking the BGB with the loop, spotted a couple amber here and there, so I think my plan of chopping in Christmas is going to work out. So I got sometime to brush up on the dry and cure thing.

Flatrate the buds be glistening sir! Looking good.
Thanks Bobby, right now the thought of drying and cure has kinda got me freaked out. I don't want to mess it up now!

Looking good bud, cant wait to see you grow that Sundae float

anything crossed with the driver seems legit
Thanks Diggs. I am excited about the upcoming grow, I've had my eye on the Sundae Float for a minute. Wasn't really looking to buy anything at the time and then a deal presented itself so I took advantage. When I saw the Triple Whammy I had to have it. So I guess they were meant to be.

Only found this journal yesterday and just caught up, your ladies are looking amazing, congratulations on a really successful grow, great to see someone becoming completely absorbed in their work and how it pays off. Its a really fun hobby, its all I want to do, just a shame I'm somewhere its illegal. Looking forward to the smoke report :)

Even though I am nervous as hell about drying given the conditions I have, the other day I seen on another thread @Renfro replied to a question.

I copied and pasted it from the thread.

It's usually pretty dry, like around 30 - 35% RH and in the mid to upper 70's in the summer and low to mid 60's in the winter. I don't do anything in there but run a ceiling fan and the carbon filter. The ambient RH% is so low here that once the weed is dry the RH% drops into the 20's. So my weed dries in about 6 - 8 days and is very dry. Makes for a super easy dry trim, no chance of mold. Once bagged I often add back just a little moisture with fresh fan leaves and integra boost packs to get it just right so it won't turn to powder in the bags.

Even though I am not a fraction of the grower he is I felt reassured I got this. My current conditions mirror his summer drying conditions.

Question.
After the drying, depending on the day I may not be able to trim and start the curing process. Is it ok to place the dried branches in turkey bags with the 62% Integra packs? Just to maintain it to when I can do a final trim and jar it?

I just bought the Integra packs and should be arriving soon.

Hey GummyGreenBoy, thanks for checking in, killer avatar btw. Thats kinda a tough question to answer but I'll take a stab at it. The smell is like a sweet, burnt popcorn. If that makes sense, smells great though.

I grow and dry around 10% humidity or so and I have zero problems. Just be ready to jar quicker. Good luck.
Thanks for your input C2G. How long does it usually take for you to dry?

On another note, things are looking good and I will get some pictures posted later on today when the lights come on. Today is Day 70 and 10 weeks are in the books. The last couple days I've looked all over for info about drying and curing trying to get up to speed, I am confident that I got this under control. I got my supplies gathered and on stand by.
