I still got 9 tooth decays and 5 NCH
Do people just use a nail file or bit of fine sandpaper or something?
I've never done it but got some 10yr+ old Resevoir (snitch bitch) Seeds stock that I want to try popping.
I'm soaking some old trans Siberian in a cup. See how that goes. Then paper towel for a day or 2. If it goes good I will try sprouting my mephisto seeds again. Throwing the trans outdoors. It's an auto. 5 year old seeds

If it's any inspiration to you to give it a go with old seeds, I discovered an old film canister in the fridge a few years ago. A slip of paper inside with the seeds in my own handwriting just said "Zim". It took me awhile to realise that they were seeds that I brought back with me from Zimbabwe in '92. They would have to have been approaching 25 years old.

There were 40-50 seeds in the canister & thought WTF, I'll just do them all (no expectations). Chucked them in between moist Swispers (those cotton make-up removal pads that I pinched from the missus) in a few small, shallow Asian sauce dishes. No pre-soaking, no roughing-up, nothing. I think I got about 8-10 successful germinations & hurriedly started researching how to grow weed (guess how I ended-up here?:)). 25 year-old seeds with that kind of success rate!?!?!?!?!

I fucked-up just about everything with the actual grow & rabbits/roo's ate most of them out in the bush. 'Didn't end-up with much smoke out of it, but gave me inspiration to learn more. If only I knew then what I know now, I could've done a lot better & been able to create seeds for sharing.

Win some, lose some........

Lets see if @eastcoastmo still checks in from time to time.

They said a match box with sand paper in it works a treat somewhere just shake seeds around in it.
Edit: I have never tried it so no idea if it actually works
Ive heard that to Dusty. ive never tried it. i have slightly cracked the shell with some pliers. That worked.

That is pretty damn cool and definitely some inspiration that I won't be totally wasting my time. ;)
I won't count on any germinating towards my plans and if I get a few (only 10 seeds) then bonus.
Cheers, mate.

I pop them between my teeth, your saliva contains the enzyme amylase which can help germination
Strangely enough, I'm gonna have to agree with you on this old wives tale.

I'm familiar with manipulating Alpha & Beta Amylase, but never researched Gamma ('Though I knew about it).
