My little chewed up seedling was kinda struggling. Something kept coming back to take another small nibble. I ended up transfering it to another container of soil. Im not sure if its going to make it but it seems like 2 of the 4 were semi stable, except for their leafs being turned down away from the light. I read it might be ph, and I had doused them with a drop of spring water that may not have been the correct ph so i watered them again with my tap that comes out very close to the correct ph. I also moved them between larger plants so they wouldnt be over whelmed by my lights.

What medium are you growing in? Soil? Coco? If soil I don't think pH is as important as long as it isn't something crazy...

Im growing in coco soil. Im thinking my plant food is burning because im not ph-ing my final solution. I got a ph test kit handy now im going to start using more.

I haven't grown in Coco yet but hear you need to be below 6.5 pH if you are using synthetic nutrients... I think MattyMatt and Frank could probably give you a better idea of what pH to use in Coco.

5.8 to 6.0 is coco's best range imo. Probably get closer to 6.2 if you were struggling to get lower, but i get perfect 6.0 after my tap and cal/mag and nutes.

My portal order came, its 4 strains mixed, and the freebies are also a mix, they did throw in a 5 pack of nashira as well.

I thought the mix was going to have all 4 strains labeled seperately. Not sure if im ready for unlabeled chaos.

You will get some bud with that setup... What is your final pots size going to be? For 3 plants if you could scrape up enough cash for a 2nd one of those lights... It would be awesome. You wouldn't need the 2nd light until about week 3 or 4... Then you could space the plants apart a bit a turn on the other light to really get them rolling...

This entry is PORTED OVER⤽from my thread, Caribbean Grow Ops.

Trinidad & Tobago is now that much more 'woke', friends. We're on board - grow it, bu'n it, but (don't) doh sell it, yuh hear!

A few firsts abound, for me. First blog participation (is it even termed as such?), first foray into weed-tech, first grow approaching and my first friends on here. I'm chuffed; life is good. I am essentially enrolled in the informal University of Cannabis, spending inordinate stretches of time learning the basics. It will likely be that way for a few years, perhaps. Anyway, I'm fleet of mind, so me eh worried.

Most of the data available is pertinent to temperate climates; ours can be summarised as seen below:

Average weather facts:
  • On average, the temperatures are always high.
  • A lot of rain (rainy season - NO snow) falls in the month: June, July, August, September, October, November and December.
  • On average, the warmest month is November.
  • On average, the coolest month is March.
  • July is the wettest month.
  • March is the driest month.
The reason I furnished such detailed info is because I seek guidance for my planned grow. Below shows a crop rotation layout for twelve months, intended to service my personal needs.

Autoflowering plants are reportedly able to offer multiple harvests. This may make my Schedule flawed, rearing 6 plants 4 times a year. Have I chosen well? I'm using a 15' x 10' plot Outside, featuring 8 holes, using 6 of them, mostly. I'm yet to determine the specific layout; I've marked shadow lines from the house and fence all year long last year as the Sun travelled from Northern Hemisphere to Southern. I wanna make sure the plants are not deprived of energy by shadows.

Does anyone have knowledge of the specifics of this type of home grow? I figure I'm going to need lots of gear to facilitate the various life stages, but internalising the reams of data available then trying to adapt it to my environment may be a bit much in the short term.

Getting some seeds to germ, looks like i've got one grizzley purp from blimburn potentially coming up as well as 3 solo ryders from sagarmatha. I also started 4 [mixed pack] seeds from auto portal and 4 of my own reg seds. I fell behind a bit. I have just a few survivors from my last couple germ attempts, a lemon haze auto reg and hopefully a auto spanish diesel; as well as 4 almach.

Here is one of my failed sour blues seedling in the back ground, not sure if this plant in the front is the one sour blues seed that i lost track of or a random volenteer. Im hopeful and will let it run its course.
