I’m at 8 weeks of flower today I don’t have a microscope to check tris I read it’s ready to harvest after most pistols change but this shit keep growing new after more then half are red now so my question is what is the best way to tell when to chop I’m growing white widow

FYI only one of my plants smell funky asf rest just smell like fruit reasons for this?

there is a lot of threads about this but I just fell like this white widow is fucking with me by growing new hairs non stop

When in doubt, let that bitch go til you see a banana lmfao

I think your light intensity or heat may be to close/ hot, that plants pushing fresh pistols, or it looks like it to me. Foxtailing perhaps?

It's ripening time so I would reduce light intensity, drop temperatures and reduce CO2 enrichment if using it.

you don't "need" the leaves anymore. the bud itself is what is growing. All the leaves are really doing now is providing up stores of nitrogen to the ripening bud so I wouldn't remove any that still have green. Compare that bud pic to it in a couple weeks and see the difference as calyxes should be more swollen and more trichomes should be present.

Ok thanks man I’ll snip then tonight.
So I stoped nutes like last week should I give them more or just continue, my last feed was like 1700 ppm so I gave them a heavy feed I’m down to 700 in my soil now, with my tap water being 230.

1700 PPM at what conversion from EC?

I feed right up to chop, just make sure it's the right stuff for ripening. Not too much phosphorous or nitrogen. Everyone has their own ways and thats mine.

1700 PPM is very strong if at the 0.5 scale. If at the 0.7 scale then it's still stronger than I would want, regardless of overhead PPM. With 230 PPM in the water to start I would be curious how much of that is calcium and or magnesium as that could be redacted from the feed inputs on future runs. Hard to tell much about the plants under the blurple lighting but WTF is going on with the top of that one nug in the first pic, right side?

Idk I call him my rebel bud he had a reverse Mohawk all the way up till last week and I don’t have a lot of magnesium that is the one thing I had to feed a lot of this grow
