Hey all, I introd myself the other day but thought I would post my setup and a bit about my little stealth grow.
I have a few years under my belt but wanted to try something different in the stealth realm!
This setup is comprised of two large moving boxes that are stacked to give me a little more headroom for the light. The boxes measure 18"x18"x24", but my overall interior height is approximately 40".
I have only ever grown hydro, so that is what I stuck with. I know it's not ideal for all stealth situations, but I think that I've come up with a decent enough rig. I am using a pump to two air stones in a 3gal bucket. Water levels is usually at 2gal. Medium is a Rapid Rooter in hydrostones.
I had some pH issues for the first 4 days, but she is on day 6 now, and looking much better.
My light setup is made up of 7 x 16w Philips LED (A21 size), screwed in to a JackyLED 7 way splitter. The splitter has individually adjustable heads for each bulb, which will really come in handy with light control in flowering. Maybe?
Nutrients and water: tap, because it's free, unfortunately my tap water is sitting around 9, so I have to add 4 drops of pH down for gallon. Nutrients I tend to stick with GH Trio, I do a custom tea later on, but nothing else until flower when I do some boosters. I find less is more here. Environment has always been more important than nutrients, to me.
Intake is inactive 5", exhaust is a 5" USB fan mounted to a 4"-3" downer. Environment is kept at 70-75°F and 45-50% humidity. Lights are on 24/7 at the moment. I will only do a short veg to keep the plant small.
Here are some quick details:
Seed: Dank Schrader
Setup: Hydro - Bubbleponics
Light: 112w LED (7x16w 2700-3000K)
Box: 18x18x40" lined with Panda Film
Nutrients: GH Trio
Medium: Rapid Rooter w/hydrostones
More about the light: I wasn't sure what to expect, as I had not pulled one of these apart before. I was pleasantly surprised to see that 7 of these puppies are putting out 50000-60000 lux at 15". I think, lots for one plant. The benefit of being able to maneuver each one is huge, too. I have 3 x 3000K bulbs and 4 x 2700K, we I figured I would be doing a short veg, I would benefit more from the warmer bulbs. I may look into some 660nm strips for flowering in the future, if this isn't enough light.
The cost has been fairly minimal, as I owned the majority of the items. The light was the most expensive part, coming in at $48 total.
Once I can figure out pictures on here, I will post a few up, and a few more every few days if there is interest.
Cheers!
