Why are so many new growers choosing blurple/led over hps/mh??

I dont have a problem this one dude said growing under led lights you have to flush more is what he has heard or been told lights shouldn't make you flush salts and to much nutrients will make you flush right I dont see how growing under LEDs will make a person flush more
I think he was joking....is this the post?

I heard you have to flush more with blurple or you'll get hermies.

But it wouldn't be because of lights now would it??? It would be because of to much salt in the nutrients like I was told after I done got fox farm nutrients the high in salts that I need to water in between feedings but after I move from where I'm at and start back up growing again I'll be getting better nutrients
Fuck I hate the new platform makes it hard to look shit up, I'm not following your problem both the soil and the nutrients can cause salt problems but if you flush em out in between every feed it shouldn't be a problem, make sure you get a good runoff when you flush and drain the pans don't leave the pots sitting in the runoff, I can't see how lights would cause any related problems with lights you're looking at heat stress, stretch, over saturation, with salts your looking at nutrient block and/or nutrient toxicity.
Thats just called watering isnt it? I watered my plants yesterday and today they are getting a feed. Im not flushing them every second day. And we are going off topic..but then this is RIU..haha

Lmao, how did we get on this topic lol!!! And yes that's just the difference between watering and feeding but I'm trying to maintain coherence with what the first guy was saying lol!!! Too fucking baked for this shit

I'm now running 2- 1000w in my 4'x8' in sun system yield masters.
I'm adding a 4x8 flowering room ASAP and was planning to use one 1000W on my light rail but wanted 2 x 600W and finally got them.

Using Hortilux Super HPS for either setup gets me 50% more lumens for 20% more power so the 600s are better. I'll find some place for the 1000W to hang out eventually. :)

On the light rail. Have u used it in a 4 x 4 and did you notice a difference in yield?

They charge like 8 bills for 400 Watts lol, would never get coin from me, shouldn't from anyone and you gotta be kidding with the thc/cbd/terp crap... That is all genetics and then environment(not light spectrum). Led/hps/cmh all grow the same with different efficiencies. There is not a single shred of proof that what you just claimed is true. I am not being a dick just stating facts. I'm 100% willing to talk more about it if you have info regarding your claim.
Your opinion is fair and my reason for going them is their great customer service and 5 year warranty. Plus I was already in the led game and my temps were steady with led so I stuck with it.
As for my thc/cbd/terpenes comment it was a side by side test in a commercial op and the thc/cbd/terps were all over 15% higher under the clw

Not saying they’re a good grower or the info isn’t biased in some way but to say there is no proof at all is blind.

Because they’re on a budget and only take in what they want to hear while doing their research.

They’ll see 10 people saying not to buy blurples and one dude saying he gets 17 grams per watt with a viparspectra 900000w fixture and then add it to the amazon cart

I'm on the Autistic spectrum, don't mean to be egotistical or "toxic" but I would bet a few bucks that I know a lot more than you all in all not just growing, that's plain ignorance you're spewing there, it's not toxic it's just ignorance, you don't understand the disease.
My son has autism.... My 45 year old brother has autism. I moved from Calabria to the UK to get them away from our criminal family and get them access to proper care away from the raids and violence. Please don't tell me I don't understand autism. Hell, the average 4chan poster is an autiste and I know plenty of them too.

And by the way, if you are going to lie about being diagnosed with autism, don't say it is a disease, it isn't, it gives you away.

but in this case the blurples are a scam.. and the other thing is probably too..bugdet or expierence level..who cares if they scams

It is a mental illness, you must be familiar with dsm5 no?

Edit: sorry a disorder

Not in a 4x4 but in my regular grow room with something like 27 plants in pots. Some pots had 5 or more plants in them with single, taller plants on either side. Put all the shorter plants in the middle and ran the 1000W in between at around 12" from the plants using an open batwing type hood.

The bulb is actually a 940W Hortilux HPS conversion bulb the size of a f'n american football. Bought it when all I had to use it with was a 1000W MH mag ballast. Bought a used 1000W MH/HPS mag since so now can use a regular Hort SHPS. That big bulb sells for almost $300 now. I paid $170 for that one and it only has about 1000 hours on it if that. Hell of a light.

Lol damnit man, watched the vid expecting the side by side but info never came. The amount of claims made by companies and their "perfect spectrum" is unreal. From what I've gathered spectrum is about nothing more than efficiency other than blue light helping keep internodal spacing tighter which can be accomplished with roughly 15-20% blue. Other than that it is about which colors are more efficiently taken in by the plant, 660nm red for example is extremely efficient and provides higher par per watt than other parts of the spectrum.

maybe I linked a shortened version I didn’t watch but it showed the thc/cbd/terp results at the end.

Yeah idk I went over it again nothing regarding a test just the guy talking up the lights of course. Nothing I haven't seen before during a marketing vid. Marketing the perfect spectrum as your selling point better have some damn good irrefutable evidence to back up such a claim which of course no company ever does because that just isn't the case. Spectrum isn't what drives the plant, intensity is.
