Cut or not?

Looks like its in the final stages of maturing. I would guess about 12-16 days would give you your peak outcome. That trichome picture still has mostly clear heads.

100% cloudy would be the first goal, but is nearly impossible because different parts of the plant mature diffrerently. Which then makes the goal to get as much of the plant to be mostly cloudy as possible :). In order to do that you need to wait long enough which can be tough, but is really rewarded. The best buds come from FULLY ripened healthy plants.

Thank you. Haven't grown in 40 years. I want good organic product. Getting anxious.

A question I forgot to ask is, let them go or add a bit of nutrition .haven't had in 10 days.
I wouldn't feed them at this point. They aren't going to use it, right now anything they need they are pulling from the leaves, and it will be just fin.

Plants look good. Don’t feed at all unless you have something specifically designed for finishing, like TPS signal. Depending on what you want I would wait another week or more. It’s not all about trichome color. Some strains will start smelling terrible before their trichomes turn. Harvesting ultimately comes down to personal preference and don’t let anyone tell you differently. I have one pheno that I harvest right at 50 days because she starts smelling like crude oil and dirty socks instead of lime candy if she goes too long. I never harvest anything before 7 weeks, but with some phenos you have a pretty small window to cut them down at peak characteristics. They’ll start losing THC and start smelling worse if they go too long. When I decide to harvest I consider a bunch of factors. Mainly cloudy trichomes, mostly red/orange pistils, swollen buds, and chlorophyll loss/purpling are all part of the picture for me. There are some phenos where you’ll shoot right past their peak ripeness waiting for the trichomes to turn amber.

The only thing to keep in mind when reading my opinions is that I don’t smoke flower. I squish pretty much everything I grow, and I’m extremely particular about taste. I’ll cut plants down early if I can tell that they’re losing flavor. Buds be damned, I want that perfect tasting rosin.
