Got it.It was a collaboration between a grower and CLW, it’s possible they didn’t get these specific results from the grower since they probably weren’t still standing there months later. Yeah I almost got bit by the Amazon review bug on those too. Luckily something just didn't seem to add up with them, so I managed to spend enough time reading/learning here to figure it out before I purchased one.A lot of people shop on amazon and according to the reviews on amazon those blurples are great, learned the hard way myself but now thanks to reading into this forum and reading the reviews from actual growers and not bots on here it was pretty easy to make better choices on purchases.
Edit. Sorry that was my answer to the initial question I see it has moved on to UVB somehow... I just bought a single 4' t5 fixure just for UVB (from what I have read LED's don't provide great UV) in my tent which runs 4 hlg132's... Do you guys run your UVB all day and how high above the plants do you like to have it if its supplemental lighting?

Hey digs where would I start if I wanted to dig my own led panels for a 10x13 room?Ive never grown with blurples, never seen the need to go that route when i first started, hps was already tried and tested and cheap to buy.
Ive grown with all 3 of the big lighting types(HPS,CMH,LED) . All 3 grow weed just fine. My main reason for the switch was enviromental control to be honest. I was having a very hard time keeping heat under control with hps running, plants didnt like it and i didnt want to buy and run a/c just for a grow room. So i switched to LED( built my own strip lights) and it was the best decision i have made since i started growing imo.
Everything has been easier, heat isnt a concern at all(1440 true watts in a 7x14 room), plants typically love warmer temps under leds so it works great for my situation. Another huge bonus that i love about my led strip lights is canopy coverage. My lights are built the exact size of my canopy, i can run them soft and basically slam the lights on top of my plants and get max lux numbers across every inch of canopy.
I do agree tho, its either DIY with top tier leds or i would go back to hps or cmh, buying top of the line pre built fixtures is a huge no go for me, prices are absurd. Building them seems to be the only option for me. Def no blurples.

Sure as tech gets better LEDs will eclipse HPS but not yet, MH and HPS and even CMH are homogenized industries....
LEDs are still in its snake oil phase. Not enough of the industrial horticulture tech has been made affordable for home use so the indsutry shifts to DIY, a goos shift to force cost change and to make the growers market in general switch the low operation cost lighting.
But quality and yield and propriety drive this car and LEDs still borrowing it to get lucky in the backseat on the weekends...

You must get cheap power where you're at @.Smoke. 2.6K x 12h/day x 30d/mth x 25¢/kwh = $234/mth for me but I rarely have more than 1K going. Just scored 3 used sets of 600W digi ballasts, Hortilux SHPS bulbs and reflectors for $60 each. Try to find the equivalent in LED for that price. Decent LED ain't cheap and I wouldn't live long enough to recoup the initial price thru power savings I bet.
Were I much younger and planned on long term growing I'd get into DIYing my own custom COBs tho.

They were insanely expensive, got used for about a year, and then we decided to never use them again. Quality of the bud was no different than under hps, just less yield. Same electricity and ac costs.
