I have been using both the original BML SPYDR 600 and various Amare Technology, both upper scale LEDs since 2014, but just came across this the other day. It is designed perfectly, and parts quality seems first rate, though I have no idea about the company. Amazon is selling them really cheap Spider something or other. If you go in this direction, get a small recirculating fan to blow over the driver. Reducing the heat makes the LEDs more efficient

if you are budget limited I'd suggest two 315 watt CMH lights........if money is no prob the HLG 550V2 rspec will flower a 4.5ft x 4.5 ft tent, it will veg a 5 x 5 easy. Own a Timberland 2vl, an HLG 550V2 Rspec and one 315 watt CMH.

You can adjust both the 1064 white Samsung diodes and the 64 far Red osrams. It will perform in anything up to a 5 x 5, and add nada to the electric bill (maybe 10 bucks a month, didnt notice any change here)....on the 550V2 rspec

When I got mine I paid damn near 1k, they are cheaper now......around $800 or so, maybe a bit more

I'm not familiar with the brand. I started indoor grows with CMH lights, one can provide good light for 8 or 9 sq ft (3 x 3 or less). Two will be lots of light for a 4 x 4.

I never considered anything butTimber Cob Crees or HLG Quantum boards since the CMH days.

What did you end up buying? We sound like similar type growers. I've had been using led's no higher in wattage than 400w at the plug. I've done okay with them. Also, have used CmH. They're good too. Best results with 600 watt HPS Eye Hortilux SHPS bulb.
Just bought a Timber Redwood VS with 4 3k light and 2-1750k lights. I'm hoping that it's close or better in performance than the HPS. Just to hedge my bets, I bought the HLG Scorpion 600 watt rspec too. I'm looking at a 3-5 year lifecycle before new technology make me restless fornew lights again

Lol no shit I've bought the same three lights. Look get a 150w hps and just add to it during flower and it will make a world of difference. Look I will find the name of mine I just bought they're 50 bucks with the bulb ballast, plug n play. Great light so far. Hydroplanet. Well worth it and not that hot or hard to cool if it gets hot.

Yep bought a certified bloomplus that came directly from a warehouse here in the us but they didnt even try to hide the chinese writing. Supposedly samsung diodes lol nah it's great for veg but real shit for flowering imo. It was 70 bucks and you get what you pay for unless you buy hps. I bought 2 600 watt I'm moving up to after this grow. I think it's got a spectrum during flowering needed by the plant hard to duplicate. Call me old school.

150 watt HID units are less efficient than comparable blurples. They're a waste of money.

600 watt SE HIDs are the most efficient of that particular tech. Followed by 1000 watt, then 400. 250 and 150 watt HIDs, fuck no, cheap 301 panels are a much better option at that price point.

I'm just going by my particular grow and my particular results, what works for me may not for others and yeah 600w would be better lol it came with a 150 I'm using cause I only have 3 small autos . Some of yall come off as the most know it all assholes I've ran across and that's saying alot this being the internet and all. It works for me in fact made a massive difference and I believe in science n the light spectrum a hps puts out during flowering is very fundamentally needed by ripening buds. Now tell me how I'm wrong lol.

I'm speaking on quality not efficiency tbf. Also I've got two visi 600w bulbs that I'm going to use on my new grow like I said I got 3 small autos. I have plenty of light on them imo.

Because you're using incredibly inefficient tech and recommending that others do the same. In other words, you're dispensing shit advice on an internet forum that people use looking for answers. Again, cheap af low quality Amazon blurps are a better choice.

What's your next trick? Are you gonna recommend that people flower under CFLs? How about the flashlight from my phone?

Look like I said adding this 150 watt helped me considering I have the same exact setup asshole....as I say again what is currently working for me not the god damn gospel of marijuana just what worked for me cheaply in a tight spot. Some of you are the most know it all dickfaces to be had on net forums and I've been around them since they've been around so fucking aye that is saying a lot. Stop acting like me explaining what is working for me is claiming I'm ed Rosenthal himself. Jesus fuck some of yall need to get out and socialize outside of this fucking machine so you know basic respect. Trust me you arent speaking to people face to face the way you are and that's what the net is causing. A gen of assholes for no reason because they dont know repercussions or respect.
