Even with Wago connectors I’d still tin the ends, however that’s just my OCD thing, unless it’s solid core wire they use....then happy days, no soldering.

Most manufacturers recommend not using multi core, you can use it but as you said the ends need tinning. Wagos don’t gave any issues with multi but the push butt connections on the boards don’t like it.
