The dome is on & will keep it on for a few days yet, then adjust things as I see fit. Thanks for your input, nonetheless.

I've learned a lot from reading here & elsewhere, so I'm confident I'm on the right track regardless.

Quite frankly, mate, I've never PH'd any of my water or monitored ppm levels. Never felt the need for it, even when growing in coco with hydro nutes.

Nor will I ever use rockwool as long as my arse points to the ground.
No love for Rockwool? Why? It’s my go to for cloning, and I’ve used just about every media type, and no media. It is kinda a pain to prepare, however the benefits are good.

rockwool is neutral in ph and ppm and the best medium for cloning

but as of now

i totally give up on noobs

its a waste of phone credit

reza and dusty can sort all the crap growers out,

i wont give any helpful advice to think about, ill just be posting vids and pulling the piss

im out
Fuck using rock wool for cloning. I’d use peat plugs before rockwool. Personally I use a getto air cloner running straight tap water and go directly into coco once they’ve got roots.

Unfortunately rockwool is not ph neutral. I wish it was. It’s alkaline at about ph 8. Need to soak at 5.5 n then release that water, and then re load with your ph adjusted solution of choice. Need to take care not to squash the blocks when releasing moisture from them.

Grodan stopped using limestone as a binder years ago, no need for pre soak or any of that shite just load the block and away you go. Give it a try, save yourself some time
