you didn't answer my question...why are we upset about trump doing what Obama did for 8 years? the only two differences are that Obama never took out anyone quite as high profile ....and that it's trump doing it, and not Obama....so which of these two things are we supposed to be upset about now, when we spent 8 years not being upset about it while Obama was carrying out "targeted killings"....?
i don't like hypocrites, and i don't want to be one, and this feels dangerously close to hypocrisy to me....so someone please explain to me in clear concise terms why it's ok for Obama to have done this for 8 years, but not ok for trump to do.
i have no problems condemning trump for almost anything he does, because practically everything he does is fucking stupid, evil, or both..., but if it's evil for trump to do, why wasn't anyone jumping up and down and calling out Obama for doing the same shit, and more of it?

Obama didn't do it just for attention when it was to the detriment of all. Obama tried to make peace with Iran, in fact he did make peace with Iran. By all accounts, they were honoring the nuclear deal. Not all targets are the same. Even the same target is different in a different year in our political atmosphere. Trump plunged the middle east into complete chaos for attention. Iraq needs a brutal dictator, for the sake of order.

He was a soldier and a terrorist. He used sectarian violence for political gain, had suicide bombers attack busy road intersections and mosques. He created chaos so that Iran could gain control of Iraq and persecute Kurds just as they do inside of Iran. It went far beyond defense and the survival of Iran. He used the most despicable and cowardly of tactics to expand Iranian borders and caused the deaths of far more Sunni Muslims than American troops. He was very much like Saddam Hussein, only he was Shiite whereas Hussein was Sunni and Baathist. The only sort of leader who can control Iraq, it would seem, is a brutal dictator and strongman.

No, you're wrong. American troops may die in small numbers or maybe even in the hundreds per year in Iraq, but Muslims will continue to die at an alarming rate, tens or even hundreds of thousands per year. Shia and Wahabi alike, but especially the Kurds. That is who will die.

I'm not crying over his departure. Just don't see what Trump accomplished here. Iran will replace that guy with somebody else and things will continue on without him. None of the issues you mention are changed by killing that general.

Eh, I am actually against war. I was hoping Obama was going to live up to his campaign promises and get us out of the middle east. Instead he doubled down and started attacking anything that moved.

Life was almost getting back to a normal for many in that region. As much as I hate to admit it, the Patraeus surge allowed many to redeploy home. The Iraqi gov't was almost self sufficient. We almost handed that disgusting quagmire (that we created) off to Iran to deal with.

Trump hasn't presented evidence to justify his actions to Congress. From what you just said, Trump could be impeached for that too.
