I do agree with you here, but almost all digital 600W ballasts (well, pretty well all digital ballasts for all wattage lamps) can be dimmed, usually to 75% and 50% of their capacity, so a 600W can be reduced to 450W and 300W. I'm someone who always buys bigger than I need, because inevitably, I'll eventually make my space larger.600 watt HPS will be way too hot in that lil space.

I was told the other day by someone who has a CMH315 that you can purchase 3100k bulbs for those lights, so that's at least a little closer. I think the potent has to do more with uv than blue. A plant flowered under hps(red) should be more potent than a flower planted under standard mh (blue). They both put out uv. Cmh changes the game a bit because the spectrum is more complete at the same color temp(higher cri = closer time suns natural spectrum).High heat - airy buds

Well here's the data I'm referring to, no UV was used...I think the potent has to do more with uv than blue. A plant flowered under hps(red) should be more potent than a flower planted under standard mh (blue). They both put out uv. The issue with this is most leds don’t have uv, and that causes up to something like 20% increase in potency. Leds lose hard for potency without supplemented uv. Lol oh ya I'm all up to date on UV. Been blazing the UV trail awhile. Also, they don't "lose hard in potency." so it isn’t blue that is doing anything for potency there. If you flower with a blue light and a red light. The plants under the red light will more likely yield more, just as potent buds. Hids in the bluer range tend to put out more uv than red ones(not always) so your statement kind of works for hid.

If you looked at the data produced by the experts, you'll see that more blue, regardless the amount of UV, equates to greater potency. Refer to graph "e," and the light ratio chart. Notice how the potency increases with blue light ratio? Again, no UV was used.
I agree and have experience that bolsters what you say about UV, but also, blue light looks to have a similar effect. That's why I grouped them together.
