cost of grow incl labour vs return should be the only variable but we dont include our labour in any of the figures people argue over. Home growers seem to not know their hrly rate.must a baseline. We all use electricity and it costs money. It’s generally the most consistent thing to measure off. Like if I’m using 500w and your using 5000w you should yeild more than me but our g/watt could be identical. Of course it’s all strain and grower dependant but a good benchmark, especially if growing for $$, is a gram/watt minimum. since watts cost $$ the better the g/watt the cheaper your producing bud. As I mentioned we shouldn’t measure lights in wattage but yeah.
Well if we went by that we all be in the red.cost of grow labour vs return should be the only variable but we dont include our labour in any of the figures people argue over. Home growers seem to not know their hrly rate.
lol, so true.Well if we went by that we all be in the red.
Man I get were you come from though you’ve you got a method that works and change doesnt always mean success and your climate is cooler. I push the humidity and temps which is risky but it seems to work but I think veg will be slow in winter and flowers will be smaller. That’s why I alway keep a couple of 600w magnetic hps rigs. I’ll probably use the cmh before I go hps tbh.Still hope for me yet maybe.

I would but most will tell u not to. Expect to add a week, maybe two.Im 2wks in flower and thinking of changing them into bigger pots... anyone got any advice on whether this is a bad move at this point?
Yeah I ran incredible bulk it’s a nice yielder. I am running a scrog this time hope it’s a winner. If I ran other strains it could of been a lot less, I’m new to led and I’m hoping it wasn’t a beginners luck thing. But the clones are growing at a good pace so I’m on track atm.The HLG 550 puts out 30w per sq. foot in a 4x4 tent.
I run 50w per sq. foot and last time pulled a bit over 1.2 grams per watt. But yeah there are guys who claim 2gpw. Its certainly doable if you run the right strain and know your shit.
Indeed.
Yeah that’s what I thought too, that I might slow them down a bit but I’m ok with that. I was just silly flipping in such small pots they’re drinking way too fast and cos I don’t live where they are anymore it’s hard to keep up to them.I would but most will tell u not to. Could u cut off the bottom of the pots and just sit them in the new one's? Might be less stressful.Yeah that’s what I thought too, that I might slow them down a bit but I’m ok with that. I’m not too sure I could without maybe damaging roots and don’t have anyone to help meCould u cut off the bottom of the pots and just sit them in the new one's? Might be less stressful.
should be able to cut round them fairly accurately with a decent pair of secateurs. Just lay the plant down and slowly rotate as u cut.I’m not too sure I could without maybe damaging roots and don’t have anyone to help me
What I usually do is fill the new pot sitting one of the same size pots they’re already in inside the bigger one so when I lift out of old pot it fits right into the new one like a puzzle piece.or sit the pots in a kiddies pool?
In the lower states definitely through winter hid is better imo. I can just get through winter with leds by using a temp controller on my fans and running them lower. And allot of people need the extra heat to save them money on heating.
May I offer an analogy?Yeah that’s what I thought too, that I might slow them down a bit but I’m ok with that. I was just silly flipping in such small pots they’re drinking way too fast and cos I don’t live where they are anymore it’s hard to keep up to them.
Mines actually 2 x 288’s which I built a frame for so I could spread the boards out and cover more space in my opinion. I also run far red for 20mins before lights out and 10 mins after and my actual light schedule is 12.5 lights and 11.5 off. Far reds put em to sleep quicker there for lights on longer, I’m sure @reza92 will know much more than about this. I’ve seen blokes push it to 13/11. Weather this actually did fuck all fuck knowsYou got a point to both my grows where like Autumn an winter.
Hmmm
I have the hlg 550 out at the minute
I could chuck that in my 800x800
Be crazy in there.
How many grows did it take you to get 1.5p
Off a 550.
naaa CMH kicks HPS. it might not be as good as LED but its better than HPS. That square wave ballest doesn't flicker for starters. In the lower states definitely through winter hid is better imo. I can just get through winter with leds by using a temp controller on my fans and running them lower.
in the upper states where winter temps don’t dip very low is where leds are perfect for year round growing.
