I am scared of my crop

The LED brand is kingbo (the dual optical lens not the cheap cheap ones) they have two tiny pc fans inside of them which I would say use 10 watts maximum, they honestly do not create heat like you guys think

I was going to be full LED but I needed to raise the temperatures and I already had my digital ballast so I only had to buy the reflector as my old one had a wiring issue where if you plugged it in it would turn off the fuse for the room in the fuse box


It is hard to tell which is better

HPS produce heat which would be an unnecessary amount if two or three were in there it would expose you to flir cameras and is also where they waste wattage and make you think your plants are getting more lumens than they actually are

My plants in the middle directly under the HPS have less bud on them (though the hps is higher up from the canopy than the LEDs, it's so hard to fit this shit on your own attaching the ducting filter etc took so long on my own I do not want to deattach while this far into flower as if I cant fix it I'm fucked and will have to call in help and risk them telling our other friends I'm growing) so it could be because of that

Tomorrow is the end of 12/12 week 7 the as you can see the main colas have really packed on some size
A couple of plants hairs have turned orange but I've checked the trichomes and they're all at the same stage I'd say now about 50/50 clear/cloudy no Amber's yet and no significant swelling

I have read that jack herer is at its absolute best when 50/50 cloudy amber I am going to do some more reading and check out other people's herer grows

(I know they look a little overheated some dumbass forgot to open the window last night)

I plan to start the odd feed including canna flush soon to prep for the main flush

Dang really? I've been running HPS next to LEDs for a while now wondering if this was a bad idea. What do you mean by leaf temp issues exactly? I've not seen any major issues or anything, but I've been looking to get rid of the LEDs anyway and upgrade to just two brighter HPS...

Jeez I run LED with my hps. Have for a wile... I find that it balances things out a bit. I would agree that LED and HPS are very different animals and are best operated under different climate/conditions... That being said tho I have my fixtures, bothe LED and hps, hung fairly high. the plants recieve light from more then one source, cross rays and what not... You get added bonus of. Added spectrum (and efficiency) coupled with the hps horse power all in one...
Every environment is diff I gues.. But it can be done with great results.

I have just removed about 2ozs and it hurt my soul

The leafs which have turned colour and the buds are crispy and disintegrate upon touch

I'm adding more oscillation fans to hang at the top as the rot has been on the main heads at the top without any effect low down where the tower fans are
Luckily they are 3 of the thinner main colas I have had to remove but there is one which I'd say has about 1 & 1/2 or 2 ozs one which looks like it may be forming bud rot right at the bottom of the main cola so I will wait until tomorrow and if it is I guess I'll have to cut that whole cola off aswell

bud rot usually starts in the thick area of the plants...down low. Ive never seen a case that bad that quick. "Rot" is a lot like mold....the rot ive seen didnt have the bud crispy .....something in the soil is VERY wrong an possibly tampered with ? or 4 oz of koolbloom per gallon ?

so ur saying 600w (im guessing the 660 W he mentioned is a typo but either way not a huge difference for the area) of HPS is enough for a 1.2 x 2.4m area? Well yes, that will work, not ideal of cause, even in a 1.2 x 1.2 its not a perfect fit, but its not going to be a quick flower. Im not saying he hasn't got enough light, Im saying he has got weak lights that will take longer to flower.

If them 4 lights cant cover a 4x4 then you should of CLEARLY told him those light will not bud! "weak" is not the right wording for a light that cant bud a 1x1 area. JUNK would be the right word if it was true.

You were correct, I shoved them in a jar and they drew the moisture back out and are now in the curing process I guess I'll give it to any friends who become desperate but it was not bud rott a shame as I cut off a main cola which is probably a couple ozs but it's okay theres plenty more

I have upgraded to now having an inkbird temp controller hooked up to my exhaust fan and a new tubular heater the temps are staying at a steady 28, when I grew this summer was 35 outside it could have been a lot better but now it's cold I have an advantage

Also debating switching to ph perfect, saves so much effort and I dont have to have acid laying around the place
