get a multimeter, one with a clamp. and select 1 wire and run it through the clamp, select A or amps. it will measure the amps.if using one 2000watt full spectrum led light, how much extra should i expect to pay on my electric bill per month?
Or just buy a damned KilloWatt and plug whatever you want into it then plug it into the wall and it tells you exactly how much wattage it's pulling.get a multimeter, one with a clamp. and select 1 wire and run it through the clamp, select A or amps. it will measure the amps.
then take the leads on the meter and probe the wall, make sure its set to voltage AC or V with squiggly line next to it. that will give you voltage.
take those 2 numbers and multiply them together, that will give you wattage.
then determine how long you will have it turned on for.
wattage X hours a day X days in a month (X is times). then divide that huge number by a thousand to get kilowatts
then find out what you get charged for kilowatt of power, like 13 cents a KW. multiply price number by the device kilowatt number to get your monthly power usage.
No way that will do 15 square feet. With blurple LED, you need 50+ watts per square foot for flowering, about half for veg.im wanting to grow 6 plants. i have a 5'x3' area thats 4' tall. i used my 600 and 800 watt bulbs in there and it got way too hot. this will be my 1st try with leds
I have 1000watt led pulls Bout 100 to 120 watts from wall I seen very little difference in electric bill plus i have 2 6inch duct fans a regular small desk fan and humidifier AND 4 small 25 watt strip led lights for side lighting I'd say my bill went up like 20 bucks a monthif using one 2000watt full spectrum led light, how much extra should i expect to pay on my electric bill per month?
By the way i learned the same way you did after i bought the "1000" watt led light everyone on here schooled me on what it actually is so I'll be adding another one right next to it for my next grow..but with that said u did veg and flower 4 plants with it pretty decent sizeI have 1000watt led pulls Bout 100 to 120 watts from wall I seen very little difference in electric bill plus i have 2 6inch duct fans a regular small desk fan and humidifier AND 4 small 25 watt strip led lights for side lighting I'd say my bill went up like 20 bucks a month
