I'm growing my first run in a 2x2x4 as well! I really dig how clean you have everything set up. Getting my fan and filter to fit was a pain and I had to run duct on either side of the fan in an L shape to keep everything as high as possible in the tent. The only thing I'm not seeing is a humidifier for veg and dehumidifier for flower. Will you be using that light to flower?

That's a pretty legit setup... If you want, you can take the fan and filter out of the tent, then run it so that the fan pulls air from the tent (Through a piece of vent tube through a vent hole) and pushes air through the filter.. This gives more space. I have the same basic tent and setup..

See post about the fan not needing to be inside the tent. .. Also you really shouldn't need a humidifier or dehumidifier unless you live in an extreme climate...

How are you getting 65% relative humidity for veg without a humidifier? I used a wet towel for a long time but you need to keep changing out the towel to prevent mold. I can see how the right light and inline fan combo could handle your dehumidification needs though.

This is my updated setup. I returned my Vivosun fan and replaced it with cloudline T6 6inch. It is so much quite and well worth the extra bucks. I do have dehumidifier. However my tent is pretty humid so I have not put it in yet. I did think about putting the carbon filter outside of the tent and did try it out. But it seems it works bit better if the filter is inside the tent after few tests ( i might be wrong). Another thing, i did not realize how much of a pain to plug 6 inch fan to 4 inch carbon filter.

My humidity is usually around 63. It dropped down since i opened the tent.

1 for 1. She is ready to go after 36hrs.

Planted her in solo cup and watered generously with neutral Ph filtered tap water.
Nice!

For anyone new to coco, this site is an awesome primer.

May all your grows be dank.

I can get mine around 70 without the use of one too but I like to stay in the 50-60 range in veg. Just my preference though.

The T6 is a good choice. The controller works great in auto mode. I use auto temp with max fan speed of 8.

Ok cool I was looking at it like a checklist. We only get above 30-40% RH when it rains in my climate. It'll pay off in flower since I won't need a dehumidifier but for veg I'm running a humidifier. The only reason I don't run my fan on the outside is noise concerns. It looks like you're ready to grow! I didn't have all the pieces together until a month into my grow lol.

Oh, so you're opposite my climate. I imagine during flower is when you need to correct the over humidity then.
This is going to sound so weird but I veg in a tent and flower in a closet and a larger tent. Each space is in the same room though. I live in Pennsylvania so my winters are cold and snowy and hot and humid in the summer. Anyways...I open the flowering tent lights on then close at lights off. My closet I don't need to change anything at all. My veg tent sits right next to my flowering tent too so I just keep my veg tent closed and I am good to go. I do an iron lung type of thing for my air exchange. I vent and pull from the same room.

***edit*** luckily i dont need to run a filter at all

Sounds killer man! Any time you can hit the Goldilocks zone and save money that's a plus. I just couldn't imagine seeing the optimal levels naturally taking place here in Texas.

I'm not exactly sure this is safe, but to cut fan noise to near zero I put my fan inside a large tuperware bin looslely lined with towels and pillows. I cut a hole in each side for vents... Almost zero noise.. Tent.. Vent hose out.. Vent hose into bin and attached to the intake.. Vent hose out from the exhaust through the bin then through a wall where my filter was sitting near a window..

As I recall we had to run a humidifier in PA during the winter.. Very dry..

Does the fan get hot? I was thinking of making something similar from cardboard and egg carton but worried about when I put the fan on full blast during flowering, it will get hot and break on me.
