Tips for denser buds

Any tips for denser buds under an fully organic soil LED grow?

my environment is two 4x8 tents with 8 plants each in them. Coco blend with added amendments such as blood meal, oyster shell, epsom salt, EWC, down to earth 4-4-4 and 4-8-4

Two HLG 320W XL for veg
Two HLG 600W for flower

2x 6” infinity cloud exhaust fans
Bunch of small fans on the poles in the tent.

How did your plants look near the end, during the last half of flowering?

Did you have any yellowing or spotting on your leaves? Or did a lot of leaves drop off or anything? Basically were your plants well fed and healthy up until you chopped? Sometimes my soil runs out 4-5 weeks into flowering. Top dressing some 4-8-4 two or three weeks are the flip has helped keep my plants green, healthy and with denser buds. Waiting too long to add the extra food sometimes makes my buds foxtail or poof out, so I think it's good to be a little pro active, top dressing before yellowing.

The latest broscience these days is that plants are supposed to be yellow. It's called the "Fade" and if you don't starve your plants they'll taste like nutrients. Trying to tell newer growers that you can have a fully ripe plant that looks healthy and has green leaves falls on deaf ears. They act like you're crazy. Many people think that half dead plants with yellow crispy leaves is normal. They pat each other on the back and say nice plants. I see that all the time and want to tell them their plants look like shit by I always hold back. But that's what happens when so many people get their grow information from some hack on youtube.

With what you spent on those lights you shouldn't have to do anything else. :bigjoint:

I get rock hard buds with a cheap 600 watt HID setup in a 4 x 4 tent using cheap generic nutes. Keep the plants fed properly, too much can be worse than too little. Give them adequate light. Keep the environment good, proper temps, humidity, etc... Some strains just don't produce hard buds so get a strain that does. That's basically it. It's pretty simple.

Genetics, proper environment, and ACTUALLY LETTING THE PLANTS FINISH PROPERLY!!!

So much bud density happens in the last 2-3 weeks AFTER the pistils turn colors and shrivel. SOOOO many new and old growers harvest their plants weeks before they are finished because they are trying to get more crops in or in a hurry for buds. Then want to know why the buds they just harvested aren't as good as they thought they should be.

yeah I’m fully organic so there’s no flushing needed due to no unorganic nutes being used. But yeah I’m with having green plants that are ready to chop

Years ago when I was lurking on this forum there was one guy that posted that isn't around anymore. I read almost every one of his posts. Learned a lot.

"Foliage production - Grow for the most amount of foliage you can going into the flowering response. Maintain those leaves in a green and healthy condition up until harvest, even if it means switching fertilizer to a high N value, like a 9-3-6."
