Harvesting At Day 49??!!??

Dudes I need some help. My plants have only been in flower for 49 days and my grower gave 8/36 of them the chop. Isn’t that too soon?
We had an experienced trimmer come in to help and he also said they were ready but how can that be? I can’t get a great view of the trichomes but see below. What are my risks/rewards for this crazy early harvest??

We switched to flower on Dec 4th. That was 49 days ago.

Critical Cheese - 55-60 days
Phantom OG - 55-65 days
Red Dragon - 55-60 days
Gorilla Zkittlez - 56-63 days
The Doctor - 57-63 days

Conditions were optimal the entire flowering phase. Gavita 1700e LED’s.

I'm confused. Day 49 or 59, and the grower chopped 8/36th of your plants? Aren't you the grower? Anyways, they aren't ready.

That plant is putting on the weight. I would let them swell another couple weeks and cut back the N. They are pretty dark green.

Tell your grower to chill out and stop. Those plants don’t look ready to me. Good luck

Sounds like you need a more experienced grower and trimmer.

Sadly that plant is not ready, still needs another 2ish maybe 3 weeks. You can see the trichomes are majorly clear in those pictures and that is on the leaves with mature faster then the buds.

Which leads me to believe the ones that already got chopped probably weren’t actually ready either.

Chopping plants early reduces yield, and overall quality.

Who comes up w these numbers? U think they fudge em for increased sales? Anyways I know that when me and my hydro buddy grows the same strain he usually harvests week or two before me in soil. Not sure if this matters , def only true way is trichomes.

I always wait untill the top shugar leaves trichomes are almost all yellow

You want to check the trichs on buds, not sugar leaves.

i think leds cause them to finish early but 49 days seems too early.

i'd buy yourself a usb microscope and verify next time.

Yeah i dont like my buds to be amber the sugar leaves are good indicators whats going on in the buds
