Alrightie.... Got the 400w HPS setup from HTG supply yesterday. Also picked up rockwool cubes for cloning later this week.

With that HPS setup I got the Sunmaster Neutral Deluxe MH Conversion bulb which is in there now.

. . . . nice purchase Divine, an HPS is my top priority now. I'm trying to decide weather to go with a digital ballast setup or the regular old way.

I'm actually kind of mad I didn't pick up the 600w setup now.

. . . . yea, I definetly have decided I will get the 600w HPS for flowering. I'll have stagerred shelves with more than four plants on the go. I'm not too confined where I'm at

Here is a pic... I can't believe how much nicer it is in my room without all those wires and cfl's hanging everywhere. Actually feels kinda professional now. lol

I just misted the girls before taking these shots. My relative humidity is low so I try to mist 3 or 4 times a day



day 30 flowering
400w MH for 12on/12off
water 1 litre every other day
don't know the water or soil PH
Schuktz 2 - 7 - 7 cactus liquid plant food
mixed at 200% of instructions
temp at to 75°
humidity at 11%

In another 30 days (end of November) I'll get one of those little magnifying glasses, or some such thing and start checking the trichs. I'll also watch the leaves n buds as they go along. I'm going to go with what I've read in the FAQ n some journals. 50% to 70% amber Trichs.

These seeds are from outdoor plants which usually have a nine month season. I'm not sure what they are but the don't look indica to me, more a sativa strain. Anyways I'm definetly going for another 30 plus days at least which will put me near the end of November. At that time I'll closely monitor the Trichs. I'm planning for mid November.

I'll also probably try a sample bud to see what I've got. They are smelling pretty skunky now when I go play around with them

Lookin nice snakes

Yea misting with lights on can burn spots on to your leaves as the light is magnifyed by the droplets of water on the leaves, just like a magnifying glass under the sun, you can burn stuff with it.

I forget the scientific name for it now, any spraying should be done with lights off, either 15mins before lights on or just as lights go out.

But id stop spraying now your plant is budding to help prevent budrot later on, one drop of water on a bud can germinate thousands of fungal/mould spores.

I dont spray anything at all, used to mist young plants, but dont anymore, i dont think it makes any difference

So you got the 400w HPS happening now, ya, nice setup you have goin on. I want an HPS soon and I might just go with the 400 HPS. Any particular reason you went with the 400w instead of a 600w? Maybe cost?

hay, just want to put my two cents in on Misting...i do it as much as possible! always have and always will in the clone + veg stages, i just raise my light (400mh) and turn the fan off for bout 10 mins, then drop the light and turn the fan on, i have never ever burned any plants with this method, most of the time i just raise/off then mist, then drop and on fan right quick, and still no burns. i got pics in places round my journal, take a look..

Hey fellow Prairie folk I can say that now, not livin in BC anymore

Thanks for stopping by and offering you views in misting. I was just leaving light where it was and spraying out from and away from the light after turning fan off for a few minutes. Also have oscillating fan on most the day so when I did mist it didn't take long for the leaves to dry. I also watched for any kind of burns I might have incurred but nothing developed.

The Bud Rot issue I wasn't aware of so I feel compelled to listen to the advice offered by some knowledgeable RIU people here.

OK, just went through your journal, whew only 8 pages, some of these journals are huge, (DKskater, cheetahs, Londoner, etc.) 3 gallon pots, that's a good size, eh. Ak47 genetics another one on my list to watch. You got some seriuos shit goin on there, nice grow rooms, you must have a decent hydro store close by. Your tap water is around ph8 which is what mine might be here in Calagry. Water is very hard here, tastes like bleach when you drink it, not like in BC. I should check the PH one of these days.

Lots of good memories from Saskatchewan. Back in the late seventies Kindersley, Saskatchewan was the best place to get a breakfast while touring western Canada as a professional musician. For a $1.25 canadian you got two eggs, two sausages or a huge piece of ham, two pieces of toast, hash browns and coffee included and it was a huge platefull, unbelievable. Oh yea

Met an incredible prairie pot farmer, grew some very good ganga in the old wheat fields and smoked us up every night. Super friendly people.

Saskatoon was an awesome little university town back then. We were playing one of the main hotels and got to meet Burton Cummings one night (didn't really like him, bit of a drunk and arrogant prick). That same week we met Jose Feliciano, much nicer, very small like 5' nothing, handshake was very weak, very light but he was a very nice fellow. Bought us a couple rounds and stayed n listened to us most the night. Not too many people around these days that have heard of him, just us old guys His only real top40 hit was a flamenco style cover of the Doors' "Light My Fire", but he's a cool latino.

i was not aware of the misting epidemic and will cease and dessist. i have only done it 3 times, not much, but do not want to rot my golden nuggets.

as for calgary, i have been there. a long long time ago when i was a child, but remembered it was pretty cool. we were in a suburban road tripping it and we camped near banff. is that close to calgary. i know we went through calgary and went to edmunton. can't remember much, but we did go to the banff hotel for a 20 dollar burger!
