Al b fuct tribute grow finished!!

When I started this I really didn't know what I was getting into and for those that think that you just add some water and throw some seeds your sadly mistaken.

This was my first time growing and there was a lot of money spent and some tears shed and some broken bones ( Long Story) and a lot of swearing.

I would like to thank Al B FUCT for his inspiration and unlimited knowledge I really would not have been able to do this with just a book. Thanks Al! Thanks to Bugs for keeping me entertained while this was going on and CH for kicking bugs when i couldn't.

I have finished the harvest and i wanted to show you my finished tribute to the Al B FUCT harvest every 2 weeks grow.

I ended up with 26OZ wet and had 9 plants.

Dropped my large air pump from about 6 ft on a shelf to my middle toe crushing it!! I don't wear shoes only sandals and at the time i had taken them off for a bit. That was about 3 weeks before i turned the lights on, still hurts.

Painted black so light don't disrupt my buds curing. They like darkness for dankness.

nice harvest... so do you have more coming in 2 weeks ? or did you just do 1 rotation ?? if you do have more coming in 2 weeks or 4 if you did 2 tables ... is that harvest going to be better ?? ie: did you learn some stuff along the way that will help harvest #2 ??

Yes i do in 3 weeks "cloning issues" and then 2 weeks and then 2weeks and i have held off setting the next 2 weeks because i don't know how long they will take to finish. i am waiting 3 weeks just to be sure i have the time.

I have 4 tables and YES i can already tell it will be a better harvest. DID I LEARN STUFF???? Are you joking? LOL this was very challenging but very rewarding and looking forward to building buds the size of gallon jugs.

You know honestly i was talking to bugs about that and i don't know if i am or not. I would love to be able to teach but man there are some hard headed uneducated people out there and i just don't have the patience for them.

Like my sig says i would love to help but you have to do some of the work yourself.

i think a journal helps the grower more than it helps others.
its like a diary and maybe come tray 3 your yeild is less than tray 2 you can always go back and read over your own journal and see what is different.
i would however have to agree with you that there are quite a few that dont do any reading and want the bud fairy to come drop off pounds of sweet tooth #4 while they are sleeping.
and while you can't help them you could help those that help themselves.

So was this a tribute because you used his method Sparky, ordid you grow ST #4 as well? Those buds look super sticky, and yummy lol. Hopefully I'll be doing a 2 week harvest with a DWC set-up, just trying to buy a house first lol

Ya I like the journal idea more for the fact that you can change 1 factor each grow period, and see how it effects the grow for better or worse, and you can keep it documented so you don't do that again if it was worse lol.

is an aerocloner the same thing as a bubblecloner? I bought all the parts to build wolfman zen's bubble cloner and am going to use this method next time.

Basically, I have used the rockwool method with my 8 clones. I pre-soaked the cubes in ph adjusted water, had them under fluros, used rooting powder, watered them twice daily via dipping method, and had them under a lizard tank heat pad. The temperature has fluctuated from 70-77 during the entire period. I had them going under this method for 2 weeks with 3 clones dying and no roots at all.

The main problem in the first method was i was using tap water and where im located its very hard water. The rockwool cubes began to develop white crust, which i believed to be mineral deposits.

The clones have had some top growth, yet none have shown roots.

The second method, which is the current method, is rapid rooters w/ the dome and tray. I carefully removed the clones out the rockwool by slicing up the cubes w/ an exactoknife. I then re-cut the clones and re-dipped them in the cloning powder. I have them in the double tray with about a 1/4 inch of water and have sprayed the dome twice daily. I have had this method going for a week now with still no roots.

The 5 cuttings are still healthy and have had some additional top growth but still no roots out the bottom.

And thats where im at now...

Yes and no. If you look at how they are constructed there are differences but the concept is the same. Kinda like sisters

No worries on the crust for me RW was hard to get clones some people get it some don't. I don't.

The clones have had some top growth, yet none have shown roots.

Just keep an eye on them

At some point you might just have to start again I know it took me 3 tries and a new areo cloner to get roots.

And you won't get any roots with your cubes sitting in a puddle of water, either. You are keeping the media saturated, which will cause stem rot every single time. The medium must be kept damp, never wet or saturated.

'under' a 'lizard heat mat'? Cubes should be on the mat... and you need a mat you can control to 30C. If your lizard mat does that, fine. Otherwise go get a proper horticultural heat mat.

'Hard' water will not affect rooting speed, but overwatering sure will. If you overwater, rooting time will take approximately forever, if at all. If the water is being cooked out of the cubes by an inappropriately hot mat, I can see mineral salts collecting on the upper surface.

Think 'damp', never 'wet' or saturated. The heat mat must be controlled to 30C, no warmer.

Stop spraying the clones and remove the humidome. You're trying to establish water uptake into the clones through the stem cut. Spraying and humidomes slow transpiration and reduce uptak through the stem. You should not have to mist to stop wilt if the clone is getting uptake through the stem.

If your clones look wilty 2-3 days after cutting, pull them out and look at the stem tip. If it is rotted, you are overwatering. Recut and try again, keeping the cubes less wet next time..

Return to watering by dipping method, but only a corner of the cube and only 1x/day. If the cubes get too dry (very light feeling cube, wilty clone) between waterings, bump that to 2x/day but less dip time.

Get a proper horticultural heatmat!
