Emerging Tech

Is anyone else a tech nerd? I live and breathe tech! I research it, I get to play with it every day (that's what she said), I get to engineer it. I love it.

I found a great company today that makes joint tubes out of recycled ocean plastic! I'm trying to push our 3D printing department to get 3D printers that print from recycled plastics. How neat would that be? We already print hemp materials, but imagine cleaning up the ocean with 3D printing! With the demand for individual containers for every single canna purchase, imagine the dent we could put into the amt of plastics in the ocean. Sana has recycled 16 tons already and they have only just started.

Blockchain? I fucking love blockchain. The ability to immutably transfer and protect information is insanely valuable, and it's only just starting. I wish I got into BTC before I did but getting in at 700 wasn't bad. Gaming adopting it before anyone else was genius on their part, per usual. The fact that blockchain can be used for finance or for security in any industry is attractive af.

What emerging tech are you most excited about for growing or selling? What do you think is lacking?

Can you use recycled plastic for printing? That would be cool. I use 3d printed things more and more even just for prototypes. I have noticed some are pretty strong but some can be very brittle. Wonder how recycled would be.

I was into cryptocurrencies years ago and well before btc hit $700. I've never bought a cryptocurrency. I was mining altcoins years ago and exchanging them for btc on exchanges. I made many mistakes, sold much way too early but still ended up making out really well. I remember people laughing at me and calling me a fool when I tried to explain cryptocurrency to them. They couldn't grasp what it was. I said I'm mining with computers. I built several mining rigs. When btc hit $20k they weren't laughing anymore. Although btc is less than half of it's all time high I'm still happy with what I have. But I dumped a bunch when it peaked. And I'm glad I did. I'm HODL with the rest of my btc and altcoins.

Oh and I'm a techie as well. Got my MCSE and CCNA back in the late nineties. I've supported myself that way ever since.

Apparently you can! I found a couple companies this morning that turn recycled plastics into filament. I sent it over to our 3D CEO to see what we could do with them. Apparently the first print with them is pretty solid, like any other print but the more you recycle the material and print them again the more brittle it gets. I know there are finishing materials that can be used to coat the products to make them stronger too.

I can't believe the people that passed it up when it was pennies, or that lost or gave away their mining drives. The second I saw that ETH had tech applications and could be used in regular app payment processing I bought that day. It was at $8. It's a no-brainer. No one was laughing when I cashed out at 9k. I wish I would've been able to put more into it at the time, but I'm glad I got in at the bottom and out at the top. I still dabble in ICOs and have a shitcoin I'm hodling for a good pump and dump before I dump but other than that I'm all for the advancement of blockchain technology for supply chain management and additive manufacturing (two areas where I can actually make a difference with it!).

That's awesome! I'm going to have to look into these coatings.

Yeah I was one of those that just didn't see the BC thing.......someone offered to pay me in it way way back when it started......I wish I took the deal.

Talk about shitcoins. Remember Chaincoin? I mined that for years when it was forgotten. If it wasn't for me that chain would probably have died. I started dumping when it got pumped. Sold between $4 and $7. Still have about 20K. The chain is still active. maybe I'll fire up an old mining rig and setup some masternodes. We're due for another run. But I've got many altcoins. Take a look at ZANO. I think it might break out within the next year. I was holding Boolberry and was part of the swap to ZANO. The main developer is the main developer that initially released the cryptonote technology.
