General advice on feeding and LST

This is my second grow and I would like to have some good bud this time
So i'm trying to get this right this time around

Here is what I am working with

Bio bizz light mix soil and I have the Bio bizz Nutrients that go with it ( Bio grow, Bio bloom and Top max)

- I have not started feeding yet, i have read various opinions regarding when to start, so I am a bit confused on when to do so
My girls are 15 days from sprout
- Another question regarding feeding, should I water /feed/water/feed or just always feed?
I was going to start with 1/4 of the recommended doses
-Regarding LST and toping, I was thinking of doing this on the 5th node, is the ok?
-Also regarding LST, at the moment they are on 23 cm /18 cm(9 inch/7inch) pots, I was wondering if its ok to do this before the transpalnt in the final pot?

Using light mix I would start feeding.

You can start LST as soon as you can bend the plant.

They look great, but I would let them grow a bit more before topping personally. They don't look like they need any extra nutes yet to me. I would rather do less to be safe. It's easier to add nutes than remove them once they're in there. Hope this helps.

It took years to understand that Miracle Grow Tomato Plant Food, the pink stuff, is the exact balanced high N, low P, high K weed requires, where N & K are balanced. I got tired of adding 0-0-5 and wasting oodles of PH Up to fix it. Just get Miracle Grow Tomato Plant Food, and supplement Veg with a bit of Epsom Salts young man and you can skip that high Dollar special nutrient mix you have there.

It also took years to understand every single watering should have the exact same amount of nutrients. Just make sure you flow twice the nutrient water required to water, to prevent salts building up. I like 1/4 tsp per Gallon, and add PH Up to bring it up to 6.4. Peat in your sold drags PH down. So set nutrients near, but below 6.5, at 6.40, and use RO water. Get Portable RO filter for $129 free shipping from https://www.pure-earth.com/pro.html. Get Pin Point PH Meter, and store it vertically so the sensor stays submerged. IF your PH is low or high, N curls the leaves easy, and ytou could only use 1/8 tsp MIracle Grow Tomato Food. With PH 6.4, 1/4 tsp possible without any leaf curling. Every two days!

It also took years to understand how to mix soil BETTER than the now extinct "Super Soil". Just use 1/3 Natural and Organic Potting Soild, 1/3 Pro Mix HP (Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss w some Pearlite), and 1/3 Perlite. Buy the Pearlite in 2 cu ft bags. Water with a Syringe first time to limit floating the Pearlite to the top. This SECRET SOIL MIX is almost lika a hydroponic planting medium, requiring watering every 2 days, but forgiving you if you forget and went 3. Roots stay whte and oxygenated with this mix. You cannot over water with it. FYI - Soil that does NOT say ORGANIC, contains Human Feces, yes it is true, allowed to call that "Compost"' by law.

It also took years to see how I can cut pot bottoms out and make telescoping taller pots, for massive root systems. As it is below, so it is above.

Don't stress about when to top. Maybe top only the tallest to tame them down, or bend the tops harshly to slow them down. If you like, you can flower 12 hour from seed. Plants will be about 18" tall when ripe. I like several weeks of veg to get some cuts before flowering. Good luck! Don't forget to pray for success !

I was thinking on holding off on the feeding untill the cotyledons were becoming a bit yellowish

However when I do start feeding, should i feed untill water runnoff ?
If i use 1/4 of the recommended dosages of nutes, can i feed every watering?

Ya, you will get lots of advice here, but a lot of the advice is crap. You will learn who to listen to in time. You're plants have some serious potential if you love them right. Just don't love them too much and kill them with kindness, lol.

It's funny how people demonize MG when there was once a time when it was the go-to product. It worked back then and it still works but as we all know there are a lot more options out there these days and those options have inevitability led to a little bit of nute snobbery in the never-ending quest for 'more'.

OK Mr. Smarty Pants, list the nutrients you are calling deficient or missing from Miracle Grow Tomato Food supplemented with Epsom Salt? You cannot. I bet you pay for Premium Gasoline too, just because.

There is NO reason to withold nutrients. You can start feeding as cuts are rooting. You can feed every single watering, flowing 2X what is needed, to prevent salts build-up. Starving a plant is not good advice!

OK, I like to know what I miss. How are your premium Nutrients better than MG Tomato Food + Epsom Salt? Some additional mineral or nutrient, a different ratio?
Premium Octane fuel only addresses pinging. No one has ever been able to prove pinging hurts horse power, because it is so small it does not matter. Higher Octane burns slower not faster. You can get exact Octane you desire by mixing a small amount of Diesel in with regular Octane.

I just use Ph'd water in my soil for 3 weeks......In another week or so use a veg nutrient u have at 1/2 strength........in between plain Ph'd water...

Ex. Monday....water, Wed......1/2 strength nutes, Fri......water , Sunday....1/2 strength nutes

Less shock to a young plant.

They are too small to tie down.....wait till main stalk is fairly THICK.
