short and simple, you will need a good quantity of cannabis, a large funnel, coffee filters, isopropyl alcohol 99%, and several large drinking glasses, a pryex glass baking dish.
first thing to do is put the large drinking glasses and isopropyl alcohol in a freezer, prepare the cannabis by breaking it up.
put 2 coffee filters inside the funnel then put the funnel inside the cooled drinking glass, then put broken up cannabis into the funnel,
once that set up is completed then pour the chilled isopropyl alcohol into the funnel on top of the cannabis until its all covered in alcohol, filtration should be slow, make sure to stir it around a bit while its draining.
of course you gotta do a second wash with some isopropyl but this should be done within a 4 minute window. i say 4 minutes of complete soaking and stirring.
if the alcohol in the glass comes up to the funnel switch it out with a new glass. once the alcohol drains out grab the filter paper and squeeze the rest out as a gravity filtration will take some time.
keep doing these steps until all the cannabis is consumed, keep switching drinking glasses out for new chilled ones, once you got all your extractions done then pour the glasses into a glass pryex baking dish. this next step should be done slow and outside somewhere, but you need to evaporate the alcohol, best to let it sit in a well ventilated area or outside on a warm day.
congrats what you got left is butane grade extract but it was done with alcohol. additional heating may be needed depending how much it dried out and water content, it can vary from being a thick liquid to being a hard dry crust when scraping it with a razor.
