Should my buds be bigger at week 6? Doing something wrong?

I am at week 6 in a few days. Seems like they should be bigger? Strain claims to be 9-10 weeks. Will my serious weight start coming weeks 8-10? Using a 315 watt cmh in a 4x4 tent, have it about 21” above canopy to hit try to cover area. Growing in coco, using h3ads formula With general hydroponics flora series. Daytime temp 72, night time 65. Humidity 40-50%. Should I get light closer ? I’m scared it won’t sufficiently cover the whole area. Any tips appreciated.

You also should consider that the breeder counts day 1 of week 1 from when the first stigmas develop, not from when the 12-12 lights flipped over (as one does). So figure +1 week, because marketing.
He never even mentioned what he’s growing or who the breeder/pollen chucker is though?

They are clones. The strain is a clone only version of MAC (miracle alien cookies) 50/50 hybrid. I was told 9-10 weeks. Looking it up on google confirms 9-10 weeks. Makes a lot more sense I suppose to go from when pistils first show vs 12/12 flip. Just curious what size they might become or if it’s a good size for week 6 from 12/12 flip. I guess technically if we are going from pistil showing it’s be week 4 or 5

9-10 weeks from appearance of first flower
11-12 weeks from direct switch from 12/12.
if you havent grown a strain before and know how long it takes, always do a direct switch to 12/12 from veg and tack that on to the breeders reccomendation. that way you have a control time if you continue to clone the plant and learn its flowering cycle.

four stages of flowering
-generative period 1- flowers or fruits develop in length (this is when you see the calyxes start to develop and grow pistils), growth in height achieved (flowering stretch)
-generative period 2- development of the volume of flowers or fruit (basically i know im in this stage when stretch ends and the first round of calyxes start to “eat” the pistils and the buds start to take shape
-generative period 3-development of the mass of flowers ( this is what i have come to think of as stacking. once the buds have taken shape, the calyxes will grow in a spiral shape on top of each other filling out the buds. one of the ways i seem to notice im in this stage is the appearance of ambering of what i assume are the oldest trichomes on the sugar leaves
-generative period 4- ripening stage. at this point the buds have essentially stopped growing. at this point i am feeding very little nutrients in an effort to fade the plant. growth has essentially stopped, some strains i have gotten a new round of pistil growth which essentially keeps the plant at a combination on stage 3 and 4.

each stage takes approx 2 weeks. to me it sounds like you are probably just ending stage 2, you should notice the stacking effect in the next 2 weeks.

Too many variables to know how long flowering will take.

a strains flowering time is a guide. Most of the time Itl take longer.
I’ve learnt to ignore what the breeder (who is trying to sell their seeds) say about flowering time. You will more than likely be disappointed.

Imo, for the fastest flowering time of any strain, provide a stress free environment, And keep the plant happy and healthy throughout the entire grow!

Does it matter? It seems to be an open secret that they low ball their completion estimates.
no reallly? so ass two weeks to the estimate for christs sake and call it a day. or maybe you geniuses have a better idea, maybe just being so far up the plants plegm that you “know” the plant lmao, noobs

Many variables here:

water/nute schedule
every strain is a bit different, no pure landraces anymore
light, RH, air circulation
negative pressure in tent? or positive?

All that being said, they will be fine and ready to chop within 30 days.

They look healthy, even with clones your flowering time can shift (it likely will) & the time given depends on how the breeder counted. Your not going to get baseball bat buds with 300w in 16sq.ft but you'll at least get quality buds if you keep it healthy.
